Now you're just trolling.

What can I say, there's nothing better to do atm tongue.gif

The club is a sinking ship right now, so instead of pulling my hair out I'll direct my frustrations in different directions.
But don't tell me that Allegri wouldn't consider my solution wink.gif

Apparently after the transfer is done, Cassano shall 'tell-all'.

Nice news to come onto. Another player buggering off. Who can disagree with him if he's leaving due to the state we're in?

tbh he was probably our most expendable forward but we really can't afford to be choosy.

Milan continue to deteriorate into a bad joke.

Actually it's already hit the sea bed. The real sh*t hits the fan when the wreck starts to break up totally and disappear.

I don't see it this way. To me this is clearly an alleviation of responsibility.

Cassano saying we can't win coz there's no Ibra or Silva, so he's bailing. Even if this is the reason and not that he wants more money....my question would be what's he in for then?

If he's not good enough to take over the slack when someone like Ibra leaves, then he has no business dreaming of big titles. You earn them...you don't walk into a strong team...and then hope for a free pass to the podium. Champions don't do that.

I think of Nesta saying he doesn't feel he deserved the 2006 World Cup coz he didn't play much. And then I think of Cassano. puke.gif

I can't believe this. I really use to think of him as a rogue, but a lovable one nonetheless. Just completely gutted by this.

A team building for the future and not one dismantling itself?

Actually I think it is to his credit that instead of simply walking into an empty slot without earning it, he objects to the club selling its best players (players keeping him out the team) and leaves himself.

I actually feel that has more credibility than remaining with a failing club just because he gets to play more.

I don't mean to sound petty or cheap, but could I then post the same argument against the vitriol you spouted for the Rangers players who bailed?

They were leaving a 'sinking ship' too weren't they. Except it isn't about just what they 'want'...but also what they 'owe'. And in my book, Cassano still has a lot of unpaid dues to Milan. We adopted a pariah, and almost restored his reputation. Stood by a serious illness, and 6 months later, he actually bit the hand that raised him off the garbage heap.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 20 2012, 10:04 AM) *
And giving a player like Cassano to Inter in exchange for Pazzini, while also being the paying party in the equation is understandable???

We won't get Cesar and Pazzini simply because we'll be the jokers in this entire deal. Cassano is our last creative attacking option, surely you get how dire we are in that area. Letting him go would kill any chances of a decent season. A player like him can be kept in check, if he's given playing time, he'll find his happiness again.

Is it a wonder that all of our big players are suddenly unhappy, while all our senators were none to happy about the situation at Milan? Allegri is the common factor here. He'd be happy with a squad of average players so he can control them as he wishes. If he can't manage to keep 2 players like Mexes and Cassano then what does this say about our future, especially if Galliani has the intention of letting him stay on beyond this season?

And forget about Kaka, he's not coming. It's financially impossible to get him. Galliani wants to get every player on loan with an option to buy, maybe clubs go for that for the likes of Zapata, Constant, Muntari, etc, but certainly not for players like Kaka. And even if we get past the first hurdle of getting Real to practically give him to us for nothing, we'd still be stuck on the wage situation.

Yep, I agree here. Especially with the bold part. But Cassano's sale seems inexplicable. He won't just start feeling "happy" again. And I as a fan think he owes us much more, so even if reason says we need the creativity, I'd rather watch someone else do the job then this ungrateful player.

QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 20 2012, 12:46 PM) *
What would you define that position as?

Attacking midfielder. Forced to be our creative link.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 20 2012, 05:22 PM) *
Now you're inventing stuff, han. No such thing ever happened, not that I recall. There was an article on Sportmediaset a few days ago which said Cassano had decided to stay with us until 2013, which turns out to have been another media invention. Allegri above everyone else would have killed to keep Cassano, but the scum has set his mind on leaving.

Also, let's wait for the official numbers before we call anything BS. So far, everyone knows that Cassano's reason for leaving is because he wanted to be the most paid player in the team after Thiago and Ibra left. That's why he doesn't "feel part of the project", not because Allegri doesn't have faith in him or anything.

How do you know that? How can you know what Allegri would kill for?

Also, don't you know that official numbers never come?

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Aug 20 2012, 05:26 PM) *
New rumours are that we have agreed terms for Pazzini at 2.7 million a year. Now it's left for the clubs to find an agreement.

I dunno, but cash + Cassano seems just wrong.

Agreed. It seems like a really bad deal. Throw in Cesar and we're good if you ask me.

Difference is he hasn't bailed wink.gif he's actually taken the harder route. They took the easy way out, he could have stayed, picked up a paycheque and guaranteed a place up front. Different kettle of fish in my eyes.

No, they decided Rangers were dead and departed without a word of regret.

I don't get what you're trying to say.

Allegri has played Cassano in so many games, even when there were other choices on the bench. He's never given the impression of disliking the guy, like he's done with Pato, Ronaldinho or Mexes. Furthermore, I think he wanted Cassano to stay because his system requires a creative force in the attacking trio. And with Ibra gone, Cassano was the only one left who could do it. Now we have two prima punta's, two movement strikers and an "uncreative" trequartista. Hell I know how this is going to work!
acid911
Well let's just say that Allegri had no choice but to play and start Cassano. happy.gif A big name Italian rotting on the bench, oh the horror. It just can't happen. And well credit to the guy he did put in some pretty decent displays when creating chances for out forwards. But imagine if his name was Ronaldinho, he'd be pushed out with a hitch.

It's perfectly clear Allegri likes and prefers players with hustle, to keep the intensity going. As I recall saying two years back when the guy first signed for us, Allegri is just not used to coaching highly creative players in the small clubs he came from. sad.gif It's a given he'll put precedence for strong dynamic players instead of lazy creative ones.

He'd rather not tinker with the system to sign and make way for creative and visionary players. Unless, they are exotically named ones like Kaka, Cassano and more. Ibra, as noted above, was a one-man force. So he doesn't count, the guy could do pretty much everything on his own.

I didn't get it that way. Like acid said, there weren't that many options Allegri had. But we'll see what Cassano will tell us.

Well I don't understand how you're disagreeing. Perhaps your reason for supporting Milan are different, but for me we shouldn't disagree because:

1. This is almost exactly the same as what RvP has done. In a way worse, because RvP can claim he left to a much stronger team. Inter are not exactly the Man Utd to our Arsenal are they?

2. Put this into context, how would you feel if any of your Rangers players had not only upped and left ship, but actually joined Celtic.

Jack, you'll be shocked to hear this, but I may have changed my mind on Cassano. I remember something he said when he joined us. Said Milan were the closest thing to heaven for him. Now he is saying Inter is the club of his heart.

He is a lying, 2 faced piece of shite and he can go to hell.

(this is not to say I totally back off from what I said before about him leaving, but the quotes he's come out with about 'the only team I ever wanted to play for' type thing REALLY wind me up)

Upon signing, players say wat fans want to here. As I alluded to in another thread, loyalty in football only goes so far as the club paying the player lots and the club winning lots.

This is different. Read the interview he gave when we signed him above, read the words he said when he recovered. Then read his Inter-message. It's like 10 years passes in between.

Yes. Imagine...Ibra is 100 times as classy. And even his dialogue was ripped of. Ibra first said Milan gave him his smile back. And this idiot goes there and he's mouthing the same thing.
