i dont even care anymore, most times the streaming sites show pretty good pictures that i can watch the game and not be irritated by a lack of quality that streamings had a few years ago. having said that, it would be nice if i could watch a big game like this one on our HD TV. but no, the only free network channel that broadcasts football every now and then is too cheap and careless to get the rights or whatever for this game... and that's the cost i have to live with for being a minority in this country who enjoys football more than rugby and cricket.

Our attacking flanks are pretty much non-existent. Oh, Jankulovski, why couldn't you be a few year younger. Why oh why!

Mesbah is not the same as Antonini. At least he has some tactical awareness. I'm not concerned with our fullbacks producing offensively, I don't expect that from them. I'm worried about Walcott getting in behind them and have free reign from the halfway line. Even a player with as little skill as Walcott will be able to get it together if you give him enough time and space to run at the net.

Yeah, well me being a fan of Mesbah (or at least having followed the player for a few years), I'd put him above the other two guys any day of the week. But not on CL nights, with no experience, and in a big match like this. But my point was the guys we have on the flanks are no way good enough. At least the players who start on the left are not of Milan caliber. One is past it, one is not there yet, and another never had it in him, in all fairness.

The only good thing about Antonini is that he is better than Bonera, and the only good thing about Zambrotta is that he used to be a (very) good player. Still I would like to see Mesbah start, even though deep down I know it will be Zambrotta. Which for more reasons than one is the safest - if a slow - bet. Let's see.

The only way you get big game experience is by playing in big games. IMO Mesbah has been solid and hasn't done anything to deserve being replaced in the line up. It's not as if there is a super star waiting to come on.

Mesbah is very careful defensively, and he pushes up forward frequently. I see no reason why someone like Zambrotta should get the nod ahead.

Anyway, according to latest rumors, Boateng is likely to play from the very start, with Seedorf and Nocerino on the sides and Van Bommel as DM.

If it were Racist FC I could understand it but Arsenal fans are usually about as unpassionate as they come. Most away fans make more noise in the Emirates, their 'support' is terrible unless they've just scored.

I've not really heard of much trouble before with them, they have the reputation of being quite a light-hearted bunch of fans in terms of a firm etc.
