Kalac??? Are you high, Dracoris? biggrin.gif

Also, Allegri will NEVER prefer Emanuelson to Gattuso. Here's how I'd play, if no injuries occur till the derby.

Abbiati
Abate - Nesta - T. Silva - Antonini
Gattuso - Pirlo - Boateng
Robinho
Pato - Cassano

We need Boateng in midfield as box-to-box, not as trequartista.

Very nice starting 11! Maybe even van bomel instead of gattuso because he can make something with the ball in terms of organizing but i highly doubt it knowing Allegri...

I'd love to see examples of him actually being a ****.

Didn't he just punch an opponent in the stomach?

I don't know about you, but to me it's crystall clear why Ibra gots different treatment. It's absurd wanting to treat them equally when they are not! It's not the shouting, it's beyond that - he's a dirtbag player, an attacker that often collects red cards and kicks opponents - just ask Motta, Mihajlovic, Dacourt, and dozens other players who came across his path. When he's playing badly he starts to behave with frustration and anger, thinking more and more about himself and less about the team.

How could I prefer this selfish, bad-tempered, arrogant, annoying and wild thing over a player who might has a day off or even is in a bad phase but represents a normal Milan player one could easily admire or celebrate.

I am happy when Ibra scores for Milan, but inside I am ashamed a bit because I know it's not what Milan used to be or even should be. It's not his reputation in the past, it's the simple fact that in one season (which isn't even over yet) he proved all the bad things around him still exist - he kicked a teammate, he made fun of another, he got a red card, he managed to hurt an opponent player. The only thing lacking is a fight all Inter vs. Valencia.

What Fillipo said.
Jack Sparrow
Ah...but then that's not what's happening is it? It's his performance in the last two matches that's being put under the microscope.

He's not a gentleman like Sheva...but who else would we have got? Haven't we had enough nice guys come by and finish last?

I'm not saying keep him and let him retire. I agree with his agent he'll probably switch about 3 sides before he retires. But I don't regret his purchase one bit. At 24 million to be paid in instalments, he's probably the purchase of the season.

Thank god he's a mercenary and they never stay long cool.gif
Fillipo Simone
I agree, it's a pact out of neccesity. But he should learn to behave and think about the team. The red card he got against Bari could cost us dearly, and it was obvious that he didn't even think what his actions might bring to us.

For now he's good, but as soon as a chance comes by to get another striker, I'd be happy to see him saying goodbye.

Obviously he didn't (think - at all). Since he was frustred... sad.gif

IMO he had little reason to be frustrated about. So okay, he isn't running well. So WHAT? FFS, Zlatan. What striker is running well every time?

Anyway, we can do without him, that's we benefit we have this season with Cassano, Robinho, Pato and Ibrahimovic all in our squad. Pato is a great CF. I am looking forward to see him being the main CF. I think Pato is as best in that position. Pato might shine vs Palermo (a lot). Cassano and/or Robinho and/or Boateng and/or Furby can all be great helpers for Pato.
Fillipo Simone
This is a chance for Pato to finally shine not only against Palermo, but against Inter. If my memory serves me correct, he never was good in the derby before.

Allegri prefered not to play Pirlo in front of the defense to free him more and play Ambro there. Van Bommel seems to be rated highly and played good lately so I don't think he'll bench him.
Also, playing all 3 attacking options will leave us with none good attacking player from the bench if thing won't go well. I think Allegri will prefer to keep one of Robinho/Cassano as a game changer opton.

Pirlo,Boateng combo, they can exchange positions,as shown in the early matches of this season.I really like this combo.

HAHAHA!!! For a a little bit I thought they were real players!

BTW, regarding Ibra, what fillipo said. 'nuff said.
han2503
I'm no Ibra fan, but I feel this whole thing is down to the "Everbody loves to hate Ibra" factor, the guy is going through a bad patch of form due to the fact that he's sweat blood out there for my team, we saw him throw up after a game, that does not make me ashamed, it makes me proud to have a player willing to go to those lengths.

Am I proud that he's a douch sometimes? Of course not, but every player has his less then sparkling moments. This ban will give Ibra the necassary time he's needed, to rest and regain his bearings, something that Allegri was not going to allow him at the rate he was going.
KillerMax
Why do you guys like to put words in my mouth? I mean is it for you to decide why I believe he is not suited for the Milan I've come to love? It's like if we had Poulsen and he had a great great season for us and sweated blood and and puked his guts out for us on the pitch... I would have the courtesy to appreciate that, just as I do Ibra, but I am not a fan of the player, his antics, his dirty ways, his face his attitude, his nasty approach in many occasions.

I find myself easily liking Boateng. Why? At least he looks committed to the team. He doesn't come out with interviews that reveal he wants the universe to revolve around him in Milan and how much he has a say in everything. Was Paolo Maldini the greatest defender that ever hit the face of the planet? Probably so. Did he ever take that title and abuse it? If anything, he always did the opposite. That's I fell in love with Milan. Otherwise many teams have and have had amazing quality footballers...

Normally, I'd agree with you. But I think we can't allow ourselves anymore the luxury of choosing the "gentleman" before the "footballer". We've been a mockery of a team for quite a few years now, and if I had the opportunity of having someone like Ibrahimovic in my team, I'd take it on the spot. It's about time we won something again! And Ibrahimovic is someone who wins you "stuff". wink.gif
Fillipo Simone
A mockery? Are you serious? You're going way too far.

And yes, I'd also like to sign a "footballer" and even a "champion", but not all winners and footballers are dirtbags.
X-Offender
Who cares if he's a dirtbag? Zidane has always been a hot-blooded SOAB himself, but people never put that before his footballing skills. Same argument for Ibrahimovic. If he wins you games singlehandedly, then you should just STFU and bow before him.

And yes, we've been a mockery, if not worse. Don't try to minimize it.
Fillipo Simone
Worse? What's worse? Who's made a mockery out of Milan? Hahaha I'm minimizing the evident mockery, yeah sure whatever rolleyes.gif

And the comparison with Zidane is out of line. Hot-head is one thing. Ibrahimovic is another.

Um, Milan 0-4 Inter or ManU 4-0 Milan last year? Fifth place in 2007/2008. Elimination three times in a row in the Champions League since the first knock out round? I could go on. Come on mate, we are AC Milan! We should be fighting every season for all trophies available. When have we done this in the last four years?

feel exactly the same bro. $hitlegri and his demon fury iHomo are slowly turning our beautiful club into printer. We're flops in the cl but somehow top of the league. We can't come back from a single goal down to win but Printer can snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat. We're wasting ti phenomenal talents in our team because of a horrendously unimaginative coach who is dedicated to 100% anti football and we have a new notoriously unsportsmanlike attitude! ohmy.gif

An what do you expect? 100 years and 100 trophies? Every team slips up eventually, and it lasts for years. Barca's slip up lasted 8 years - yes, we're Milan, we made it in 4.

Well, at least you agree we've been mediocre in the last 4 years. Which brings us back to the topic: we cannot say no to Ibrahimovic simply because he's a dirtbag. You could have imposed such mentality 2-3 years ago, when we were still ex/champions of Europe, but not now. Especially when you consider we haven't won the scudetto in 7 f*cking years!!!

That somehow is your arch nemesis Ibra. He's responsible for about half of our goals in the league (14 goals, 12 assists). Without him it's another championship for Inter.

Sorry bro.....I'm really tryin...c'mon you gotta admit I improved a lot from before smile.gif Also apologies in advance for the wall of text

I feel strongly about Milan and what it represents. There are things in life more important than football, winning and goals. When I became a Milan fan (recently in 2002) Milan represented so many things, class, fair play, family etc...The recent changes in Milan I'm not too happy about and I know I come across overly strongly at times but to see it all go slowly down the drain because of iBra and Allegri.

Ancelotti for me remains the ideal in terms of coaching. But both he and Leonardo were unfortunate to endure rather lean spells for Milan in terms of mercato activity. They took very different approaches in that Ancelotti played boring crap and Leo got overly attacking when he should have been more conservative. However they played our team like it was the legendary Milan....not some small @$$ team that would be happy with a point and over the moon with a win.

My goodness we simply CANNOT come back from a goal down to win ALL season long....I know I'm harping on this but really....unless we're winning just barely or steamrolling a (usually vastly) inferior opponent we're either en route to a 1-0 loss or an impotent draw.

Take a good long look at Leo and Inter....how much his team FIGHTSS FOR HIM. Yes he's still a bit of a tactical n00b keep in mind that this is only his second season of management of ANY team....but the VERY crucial issue of man management he is pretty good at....If we couldn't come back against a Tottenham that scored against us while depleted I shudder to think what a Bayern with their flying wingers would have done to us...especially after beating us in Italy.

Ever since iBra got here I've been complaining about him.....there are FAR too many youtube videos of him intentionally hitting defenders out of utter frustration at not scoring. ƒúćķ that $#!t ! Hitting Strasser fighting with Onyewu etc etc....Honestly as I said I haven't been a Milan fan that long but I've researched our history and I've not come across this kind of $h!t often at all....Since iBra has arrived they're coming flying in. Maldini, Van Basten, Baresi, $heva, Kaká etc have ALL been through very difficult times and have NEVER behaved this way. Our defenders hardly get red cards far less our strikers....So YES I was prepared to go a bit longer withour trophies as long as we kept our identity as a family gentlemanly sporting club......When you really think about it (and I'm totally NOT aiming this at anyone) a glory hunter HUNTS GLORY and usually at all cost. That's why the johnny come lately Bartha fans support their club for. That's why Trinidad is infested with Manure fans and that's ALSO why we've had so many "new Milan fans" of late....following around Mr League destroyer....but really iBra has profited from two of the scummiest clubs in the Universe who were on both end of unfair advantages...Jube Ladri and Printer de Merda.

Also iBra has never been able to play with the stars of his team (unless of course you include Adriano). At Ajax he was Mido's bíłćh at first then his rise began to coincide with the onset of Mido's even greater mental instability. At Juve he well and truly displaced ADP via performance but had a bad second season and jumped ship as soon as he cood despite declaring himself a childhood Juve fan for an even more despicable club. Nevertheless at printer such an abominable attitude is nurtured and so he enjoyed the best CL flopping time of his career cool.gif. Soon Jose realized that his presence stagnated the team and made one of the best transfers of the century by getting Eto'o plus cash after which he duly won the CL...you know having a goalscorer who could score on the biggest stage and all dramaqueensmil.gif Then he moves to the BEST TEAM IN EUROPE and actually scores in a big game (to his credit he scored in both classicos) but AGAIN was utterly useless vs the big teams that wouldn't be bossed about by his vastly overrated (Allegri : iBra=Messi dry.gif )ability. And ONCE AGAIN history repeats itself. Poor thing couldn't play as a CF in front of Messi (who like Pato could play virtually ANY attacking position) and the choice was clear who had to go.

At Milan Ronaldinho has been the first casualty....Pato was for a long time under threat....but everyone excused Mr "I prefer to play with Inzaghi than the Brazilians" -because of his initial breathtaking form. One of the posters at R&B was present in the stadium at the Bari game and actually saw Pato and iBra swearing at each other a lot (hearsay I know). To be honest I was a bit disappointed that Milan fans were so easily bought at ...but I digress.

iBra moves to Milan and Barca becomes untouchable once more despite Real hiring the best coach in the world and acquiring even more reinforcements.....at this point the scudetto, which has been attributed to ibra and a certain Allegri, is well and truly under threat. Yeah I know there have been extenuating circumstances (such as injuries and lack of reinforcement in our historical achilles heel- the left back)...but as far as blame goes if we don't win SerieA ALL I can see are these two.
rip
^^ +1. good post king.gif

The videos about him fighting with our own players are disturbing to me too. but there is no doubt that Ibra is the sole reason why we are topping the league. Allegri has to find a way to play without Ibra (which he is forced to do now) otherwise with the decline in ibra's form, he will bring the team down with him.

I dont want to judge him yet and wait until the season is over. But i dont want someone causing unncessary trouble to remain in our team either.

Good stuff, Dru. king.gif Fair points, I agree with most of them. And of course, always nice to see the long-post fever catching up, LOL. First it was me, then vnata, and now everyone's hopping onto 500-word monster posts to get their points across. laugh.gif Locke, you, and more. Except X-Off, of course.

And frankly most of us (heck, everyone in Milan too, the management, players) knew what kind of a prima donna we were getting when we bought Ibra, his behavior is part of the package. sleep.gif Then we added another one in Robinho, and then brought Cassano on for the ride. The bottom line being that in a club with a family atmosphere like Milan, we may just be able to keep things under control. Well, they are mostly under control for the time being, but the threat of an explosion remains as hot as ever.

People used to harp about how high the wages R80 was getting (which, agreed were a lot). And guess what, Ibra is getting paid a million more than our former Brazilian, and we're still out of the CL at the same stage. unsure.gif The league is not a given just yet, we could (in the words of Han the great: hopefully not) very well finish 3rd in the race. While I can't discredit what Ibrahimović has done up till now, score some vital and beautiful goals, the fact remains that neither everything is rosy in the Milan locker room, nor everything is going well as far as the performance is concerned. The next 2-3 matches will decide everything, it seems. And then there is the issue of his antics and attitude. I don't mind that too much as long as Ibra keeps it to himself.

The moment we start seeing causalities (R80, Pato, anyone else) then things get serious!
Ry4n
Early indications are that Cassani won't make it for the match at least hopefully because hes injured.
As for the starting xi, Palermo will stick with the 3-4-1-2 with Miccoli & Pinilla up top.
