I cannot stress the importance of this game. Should we loose wholesale changes will be needed. If we win then changes will still be needed, but it can happen at a slightly slower rate
Again, if we loose, it will be time for a revolution we must clear the squad of the old generation and bring in new blood

Weather update: currently in Milan, there's a hailstorm (in italian: grandinata). Gazzetta seems to think it'll pass before the game starts.
All hail the king, then. The king of San Siro!

QUOTE (Tennie @ Mar 4 2008, 08:36 PM)
(Oh dear. Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that 4 of the visiting support have been arrested for trashing their hotel room. Apparently pictures were torn off walls, plants were overturned, fire extinguishers emptied, etc etc etc.)
Maybe they were doing early dress rehearsals for something?

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Mar 4 2008, 08:46 PM)
Like Warchant said. This club needs a reality check.
I agree. But I'd rather that reality check be slightly later rather than right now.

We can't save our season now, and are not in the position to do anything for the next one just yet. I'd rather we give a good account of ourselves in the only competition that matters, and then starting next season look for improvements in Serie A. Fingers crossed.

The only surprise for me is Diaby starting. Maybe no Walcott either, he's played well recently.
Milan lineup as expected.

That's what I thought yesterday but I heard a news report Walcott wasn't starting so thats why I wasn't surprised lol

So it's Kaka, Pato and Inzaghi up front. Looks like Milan is going for the kill straightaway.

They'll play with one striker... I knew Wenger wouldn't risk too much.

Pato to score the winner.
Whenever you predicted he'd score a goal, he did! I hope you're saying it from the bottom of your heart this time as well
I don't want to comment on Diaby cause it might come back to haunt me... I'll tell you what I think about him after the game!

come on milan, this is the time where the team must show why it´s the champion of europe, and why we are the most feared team in the world, milan in CL is other team i have the confidence that we will pass

Guys, don't be too confident of qualification... it's 51 - 49.
acid911
Mar 4 2008, 08:21 PM
Spot on, ZD. Nothing to be too over confident about, any team on its day has a chance to beat AC Milan, and this is the Champions League we're talking about. It will be a closely fought contest to the end.
PS. Changing topics, I just played the match on PES, and we beat Arsenal 3-1.

because you need consistency in your mid, they play off each other way to much to mess with that formula...with maldini not playing much, it's hard to get that.

Preamble
Hello boys and girls, and welcome to Arsenal's last Champions League game of 2007-08. Yes, yes, I know that's a rather pessimistic outlook, but I've just seen the starting line-ups, and it looks like Arsène Wenger has decided to include Abou Diaby on the left wing. Winning in the San Siro - where Milan have won their last four in a row in the Champions League - looked a tall order for Arsenal on 11 men, so I'm going to say their chances of doing so with a massive gaping void where their left-winger should be are mighty slim indeed.
I might be posting some interesting color commentary from Guardian during the match. Once ever 10 minutes or so (or as something important happens). Pretty hilarious stuff.

if theres one thing this team has is they're able to raise their level of play in these games. i wouldnt be surprised if they pull off a victory (a la man u) but my gut feeling is a 1-1 draw (arsenal have not been shutout on the road this year)
