Did Pato even touch the ball?

We stopped playing when he came on so it would have been hard for him to score. Hopefully he makes up for it on Tuesday

I don't know why but I always feel Pato is isolated, and he doesn't make himself available for a pass.He always want to run past to the last line of defense, and score the goal.Maybe it's fear of injury,or lack of trust in his dribbling,I don't know.
Great play from Cassano today!and From the whole team in general, happy to see Robinho ready for the CL tie ;p

Good game. Clinical Robinho, lol !
I felt like Ibra wasn't happy about his substitution. I understand his frustration as he deserved to score at least a goal, but then again he was the one complaining about being tired.
Anyway, he is making so much sacrifice each game. Kudos to him.

Indeed.
But you know what, so did Flamini. And that's the main reason I don't like the guy. He has too many off matches; it's almost like he's wanting to be invisible. It's a very irritating attitude.
Knowing his potential and abilities one would honestly expect him to bring up some freshness when replacing a washed-out Rino, but he did the exact opposite, he went MIA doing everything to kill the gameplay and stay below the radar.

We were up 3-0 when Flamini came on (Robinho scored minutes later) and 4-0 when Pato came on. Do you really think the team had any urgency what so ever? I know Pato hasn't been amazing this year but to hold it against him for not being really in the game offensively is crazy. With Flamini I don't this he was invisible. There just wasn't that much to do. We were up huge and Parma wasn't that great and we were attacking.

Firstly, problem is this is not an isolated chase. And secondly, Flamini is a player still fighting for the starting XI. When Boateng and Pirlo recover it isn't certain he'll still be considered by Allegri as such. So he must put up some decent and consistent good performances IMO; while he's doing the opposite.

I only watched the highlights as I could not catch the game...
- did Gattuso really do that for Cassano's goal? If I died now, I'd die piecefully, having seen everything!
- Ibra is a genious - his touch for the 1st and non-touch for the 3rd goal are proof of that.
- I hated his reaction after Seedorf yelled at him for not passing in that one missed chance in the first half... I don't blame him for going for it, all forwards do it's what they have to do, but how he reacted after it, that was bad!
- Merkel is not going to be a great one because greats-to-be do not do mistakes like the one he did in that missed chance of his. Not that I thought he'd be I'm just setting the bar on how far I think he's going to go.
So how did Merkel, Seedorf and Giovinco play?
Fillipo Simone
Feb 13 2011, 12:35 AM
Seedorf very good but slowed down in second half, Govinco was fair enough. Merkel? The guy cannot defend properly, his miss was a big one...I don't know. Everything he showed so far tells me he is not ready.

I only watched the second half (+ highlights). We looked really sharp tonight. I don't remember us playing this good since Brescia and Bologna. Cassano was amazing with those assists and goal. If we continue like this, Pirlo's absence will be less critical.

How people change from one game
This is what I was saying for the last few weeks, a performance could come and people were going way too OTT prematurely on how everything was going to crumble around us. We are AC Milan, we've never done it the easy way, at least since MVB era.

Now next game will prove how stable we actually are. As for Cassano, he is a bit similar to Dinho for me as you never know when he is going to lose motivation and become a burden... I am really liking what I'm seeing and hopefully it continues, but I'm not counting on it. Robinho... What a ****ing signing!
Another great game managed by Allegri. He does have a promising future ahead of him this guy.
And it's a shame about Merkel. I wanted him to become a special player. But I think he is mid-table quality.

Problem is we don't have Cassano for the CL, and imo the biggest reason as to why we really ticked yesterday was because of Cassano and how he drives the attack forward, that and his and Ibra's linkup at times is magical. Also the fact that our midfield wasn't stagnant with the 3 DMs then the attack cut out completely because we have 3 stikers upfront who are supported by a midfield that just cannot link up play with them. Imo that is the reason why we struggled in the last few games. Merkel wasn't really good but he helped when we were attacking, had Boateng or Pirlo been playing instead of him we could have seen a trashing of the first degree imo.
Van Bommel imo is really starting to show his worh, he's not making an @ss out of himself, he flies under the radar most of th time, but the amount of times he recovered the ball and then set up a good move with his pass was amazing.
Against Tottenham we'll lose 2 players who imo are becoming very importan in how we play. Imo our best shot is if we play a 4-2-3-1 as you said yourself. Flamini and Rino in front of the defense and helping out their respective FBs when needed Pato and Robinho on the wing and cutting in, Seeford in the center in front of the 2 DMs and Ibra up front to do the damage.
Also another thing, Oddo can be so frustrating with his virtical balls, but having said that, defensively he's been top quality imo, nothing goes past him, Abate is better when going forward but all his defensive frailties would have cost us against a team like Spurs, so I'm glad he's out, and at this point Oddo is a definative starter for me, especially since he seems to have cut out the ridiculous long balls. I think Allegri gave him a talking to after the Genoa game

Not mine.

English team is no where near as bad/weak as people make it out to be.
In fact, for a moment there in the World Cup 2002 (the match against Brazil), I pretty much thought they had a great chance to win the thing. I am not a fan, no way near, but even last year in the match against Germany I was rooting for England so that they can meet Maradona.

As a coach, I know, but still that would have been a clash of the decade.
