We didn't even need Ibra, we could have stuck with Borriello or do some homework and buy a good forward that doesn't think he is the greatest thing in the world. We needed to look to the future and not right now.

Agreed. Robinho would have proved a valid alternative for Leo's 4-2-1-3, but with our current playing style, we'd have benefitted much more from an AM.
And please, don't bring the Borriello-Ibrahimovic debate anymore. They're worlds apart. Fact is, without Ibra, we'd be much worse than we currently are. Simply, he's been our best player so far.

Just read Allegri's press conference. The guy has serious issues. He said we played one of our best games against Juventus, and created a lot of chances. Well, Mr. Allegri, I think the total opposite: we played a horrid match and we barely created 3-4 chances during the whole 90 minutes. What a douche.

Think about how much better it would have been if we signed the much cheaper Hernanes over Robinho. But for some reason management said Honda being non-EU was a problem, so it should be also with Hernanes. So what does that mean? Has the spot been reserved all this time? Kaká in January? I don't know, it's annoying.
If only we signed Hernanes over Robinho, then we would have had a backup for Pirlo and someone for Ronaldinho's spot. Would have made our (attacking) midfield so much better. Of course no Robinho should mean either Borriello staying or someone else in (that one can be lots of cheaper since we're talking about depth - more important is to have a good starting AMC than a good backup forward).
How frustrated is it to see Hernanes go for 10 mio to Lazio while Milan has been following him for years, people have been drooling about him for years, he used to be very expensive, and now for 10 mio to Lazio? Seriously?

Agree with everything you've said above, CHU-LIP.

Every single thing! I was happy with Robinho arriving, but deep down I hoped against hope that it would be someone else - someone who we actually had a prime need of. And that too at 18 million, for my money expensive.
Now that he is here, I can only wish him best, but I'd have taken Hernanes (or someone like him) twenty times over!

Guys, Robinho was signed for the intent of using him as a back-up for Dinho and Pato in our 3-men attack. But, since we've switched to a playing style that involves three midfielders and a trequartista, Robinho becomes less necessary, unless he's used as a trequartista himself.
This season, we have to arrange with what we have (which is not bad, actually), but next season, when many contracts will expire, we have to invest a good amount on a pure AMC, and resolve our playing style problem once and for all: 4-3-1-2!

Since Real is a tough match, and we are used getting pwned against such sides, isn't it a good match to try out Pirlo as trequarista (so play with 4 midfielders)? Gives some balance... and I want some players who can run over the flanks.

Yes, but I never thought too highly of Robinho, from the first time I saw him, up until now.

He just not has that quality that separates really good players from great, the one that R99, Kaka, etc had in them. I just think Robin's got a really lucky (and $$$-filed) ride to Madrid and Manchester. So in essence, we kind of knew what Robinho is capable of, and while he is a good addition to the squad, he is not what we absolutely needed. B&G thought that we can splash a bit of a money on creating our on Fantastic 4 - well we need a working mid for them to play to their potential. This they probably forgot.
Hernanes, now that is a player one could take a risk with.

And at perfect age too, not like those teenager or early twenty kids that jump out from Brazil, he actually has stayed there and learned his trade, and well is a darn good player too. So is Ganso I think, and while it still would be a gamble, I hope Milan takes that.

Amen. Hernanes, old enough to make us stronger short term, young enough to be a good long term signing, especially for what Lazio paid. About Ganso, shame he's having a serious injury, so he can't help us this season.

I'm not sure if it's ironic, but I find it very annoying and frustrated. Milan and Hernanes have been a link since forever, we are having no backup for Pirlo (Seedorf is the ONLY one capable of doing it), we have no AMC option that makes our mouths shuts

...and still we don't sign Hernanes who we have been following for many years

I'm not so sure anymore. I want from now on either Oddo or Abate as right back, the only ones who can properly cross (though Oddo needs to prove it wasn't his rarely good day), and Zambrotta as left back. I don't believe Abate is really that bad as some think, I am starting to believe he is better than Antonini (not last season's Antonini of course).

It's not one preformance, Antonini is having a bad season. Feel free to disagree, because I really don't know who to prefer when it comes to our full backs, but this is not based on 1 game, but on this season. I really got sick of Antonini this season when it comes to defending, he is so weak. Abate is slowly winning my trust comparing to Antonini. I rate Abate's crossing higher, and first I thought Abate should not be preferred over Antonini because Abate is worse in defending but Antonini is doing his best to make think different when it comes to that.

Hopefully it will be Abate attacking against them,I still think we should use him as a midfielder...We should try and dominate the midfeild and rest will be taken care of by our awesome strikers, that way we're way more solid on defense and somewhat better on the attack without having to deal with counter attacks.

Antonini played bad, yes, but give him a slack. I think he was pushed in the match too fast. He's in fact our only LB option this season which puts not only much pressure on him but is very exhausting. He plays most of the matches and most of them till the end. So,..yes, he's bad, but no, he's no way weaker then Abate. Any half-good right winger or attacker can tear him into pieces.

Or you should try it vs Real so you have 5 defenders when no possession.
Pato - Zlatan
Pirlo
Antonini - Boateng - Gattuso - Abate
Thiago Silva - Nesta - Sokratis
Abbiati
This way Antonini and Abate can go over the flanks more often and their defensive liabilities are not a big problem anymore. Pirlo will do the playmaking, also he got some mates covering for him.
edit: I understand a 3-5-2 won't happen so change the on paper formation:
Pato - Zlatan
Pirlo
Boateng - Gattuso - Abate
Antonini - Thiago Silva - Nesta - Sokratis
Abbiati
