Indeed, but doing something expected isn't newsworthy as such. If Man U/City win, it doesn't really get mentioned in the EPL thread. If they lose, however. Just how football is.

Silva has missed several penalties for us as well in summer friendlies, but Ibra rarely misses, so that surprised me.

Beckham's red card is a weird one. Obviously his foot was high, but then there was no intent to even touch the player and he didn't touch the player. It's obvious he was trying to put his body between the player and the ball - but at the same time the ref could say his foot was off the ground.
Does anyone know how Silva performed this season?

I did. Of course, I did.

And he's been doing, shall we say, well. He has taken command of their defense, and while he has skipped a fair amount of matches, Silva has been himself whenever he played. I wouldn't compare this season to our Scudetto winning one (where he only got one yellow), or his last year here, either.
But for the most part, the guy is class, and it is bound to show whichever club he plays for.

I wouldn't mind if a sheikh bought us. Honestly, I don't see much future with this management. Yes, we're on the road of becoming a healthy club financially, but the top players? That's what's made us great in the past, not promising youngsters and financial sustainability. And I don't see us signing top players anymore, even if we start making a profit each year.

I would. A good example of a "sheik" takeover yet is yet to be seen, if you ask me. I don't want us to be the superstar team filled with mercenaries who know squat about what Milan stands for.
I'd rather Milan moves to Germany

They have a marvelous developmental system for football applied; youth prosperity, a (very Nazi-ish but effective) club ownership rule and a grand plan for future growth of clubs.

Agreed.
We just badly need our own stadium, otherwise the gap between Juve and everyone else in the league is going to become so massive.

France is to have a 75% tax rate. In football terms, this means Monaco should dominate French football fairly easily, as not being France the tex rate doesn't apply to them. How fortunate for them!

"Leonardo today informed Paris Saint-Germain of his desire to resign from his position as sport director at the end of the current transfer window.
"We regret his choice but respect his decision. We thank him greatly for his important contributions towards the project of building a top European club in Paris and wish him all the best for his future career choice."
Last week the Brazilian learned he would be banned from the touchline and match officials’ areas until June 30, 2014, having appealed against a more lenient ban that ran for nine months.
Leonardo incurred the punishment after pushing a referee following a Ligue 1 match against Valenciennes in May.
PSG said "the club deplores the severity of the new, harsher penalty" and added that they would be considering their legal options upon receiving the written reasons for the ban.
Leonardo was appointed as PSG sporting director in July 2011 following spells as coach of AC Milan and Inter and helped establish the French club as a European force through some ambitious acquisitions in the transfer market.

I wouldn't sell Ibra if I was them. A Cavani-Ibra partnership would be devastating. I'd rather sell Pastore and play a 4-2-2-2, with Lavezzi and Lucas on the wings.

That would be an incrediblely offensive lime up but it could probably work because they have Thiago at the back. I wonder if Pastore or any others might be available for cheap due to being disgruntled at reduced playing time.
