Good game to watch, yes it was easy because Lecce left us alot of space but we needed a game like this to boost confidence especially with a new coach. The team looks united everyone is working hard.
Could have easily scored alot more though.

Fair enough.

But in another parallel universe we have Messi banging in hattricks twice a day everyday. And for my money Pato is (or should be) twice a striker than him since he's an all out attacker, and not a #10. Hopefully it comes this season. Dash it all, it should.
Ronaldo (the real one, R99) scored six against a team when he was a teenager. Pato should at least have had three by now.
Well, I always say this: Messi plays for
Barca and in
La Liga. a whole different story! I consider Serie A to be tougher for attackers than La Liga. besides we saw how Messi fared in the World Cup when he faced some serious defending. not taking anything away from the kid as he's one of the best (after the World Cup, I just can't think of him as the absolute best anymore) players in the world.
As for Ronaldo, IMO he's prolly the greatest striker to ever play the game. nuff said

Here are my ratings:
Abbiati (7.5) - not much to do, but made a classy save against Lecce's Chevanton and was aerially strong.
Bonera (6.5) - didn't attack as much as he was allowed, but made a few nice crosses and his passing was secure and precise.
Nesta (7) - good positioning, hard working, no errors or mistakes. Good ol' Sandro.
Thiago Silva (7.5) - defensively strong, offensively dangerous and intelligent. Deserved scorer.
Antonini (7) - coped very good with Ronaldinho. Has to work on his offensive intelligence.
Ambrosini (8) - made up the first goal, played an important role in for the third. Rock solid, motivated and hard-working.
Pirlo (8) - brilliant performance by Pirlo, as Lecce gave him much space to do whatever he wanted...and he created some magic out of it. Milan's heart.
Seedorf (6.5) - he did work hard but it just wasn't his night.
Ronaldinho (8.5) - he was Milan's brain today. Run for every ball, took every chance to create oppotunities, was energetic up till the last moment and made up brilliant goals and chances. Brilliant match. If only he'd score.
Pato (8) - excellent first half, good second half. After two incredible goals he somehow lost concentration which in the end resulted him and Milan to slow down pace for a bit.
Borriello (6.5) - one could easily see the tension in his expression and moves. Neverthenless, he made some good passes, sharp shots and presented a typicall power forward.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Inzaghi (7.5) - seemed like the Pippo 2 or 3 years ago, completely rejuvenated and fresh. After all those years he still hasn't lost the nose and joyfullness.
Gattuso (7) - very good both defensively and offensively. Would be great to have Rino back like he once used to be.

Messi is the most overated player on earth. Does it in the sieve like defences of La Liga, supported by the brilliance of Iniesta and Xavi, but struggles even in the CL and for my money has only lived up to his reputation once and that was his decimation of a weak Arsenal defence.
At the world cup we saw how 'good' he truly is. He's great, world class, but absolutely nothing more and I wouldn't have him in my top 5 players on earth.

So then, time for some random acid911® musings:
* Great start both for the team and the coach,
* Defense was solid, even though it was not called upon too much,
* Mr. B sat there till the end, which was unsurprising we were winning,
* Allegri had Lecce's number, gotta give him that, his tactics early on and subs were spot on,
* KPB got a few minutes under the tummy,
* Pato was on fire, surprise, surprise
* And so was Inzaghi, nice goal to cap things off,
* The stadium was as empty as a beer closet, bah, we need at least 66% full shows,
* Ibrahimović was all smiles,
* Benito Carbone is my new favorite commentator,
* He said the word 'mentality' 53 times during the match,
* And twice in one sentence, always gotta love that,
* I guess I'll nickname him Mentalito Carbone (sounds psychedelically evil, doesn't it?
* Ronaldinho did what was required of him,
* Serie A's new logo if funking cool or what?
* This was the highest scoring match of the first round (up till now), 4-0 baby,
* And did I mention great start for the team and the coach?
* Hopefully inter goes the juve route,
* Next match against Cesena should be unexpectedly unexpected, better prepare for that

He's good, he's great, okay even world class, but ever since people (and Goal.com in particular) started rating him the best of all time, I've almost started dreading the guys name. Allegri: 'Ibra brought enthusiasm'
Massimiliano Allegri gives Zlatan Ibrahimovic's arrival some of the credit for Milan's triumph. “He brought enthusiasm.”
Ibra was in the stands and saluted San Siro at half-time in the centre-circle during the 4-0 victory over Lecce.
“Ibrahimovic brought enthusiasm to the environment. Tonight the team was fired up, ready to put in a good performance and celebrate the win,” said the Coach.
“It was important to start well, because a newly-promoted side could've caused us some problems.
“I think we had a good game. We are still not 100 per cent, which is normal at this stage of the season, but the team played well and passed the ball around nicely.
“After the break we made a few too many mistakes, but that was understandable because before we had worked very hard.”

Most were loud and in your face. As if their commentary and coverage wasn't bad enough, with mixed up names and whatnot. Max Burrito (I know wrong spelling) even went as far to say Alessandro Costacurta was Paolo Maldini!!!

Here are datasport's player ratings:
linkQUOTE
Gattuso 6.5 Entra subito in partita.
