So then, I'm watching the official feed and frankly the new smarty tag-along commentator is a bit too much. dry.gif mad.gif huh.gif Always stating the obvious, and half of his sentences start with the word yeah. If he is here for color commentary than that it is pretty poor. Looks like I'll have to turn the volume low down from now on. Anyway, football is best with one commentator.

Apparently he is a former football player who just retired last year. ohmy.gif Ouch!

Haha, I think that's Benito Carbone

+1

I love the way we are playing.

QUOTE (RinoIlCapitano @ Aug 29 2010, 11:58 PM) *
Enough, if Ronnie is super ready, Pirlo is defending and running like never before, seedorf too, it must be that someone did a great work, don't you think so? I agree that we are on the start but for now is obvious that he did a great job this summer!

Look, I will be happier than anyone else on here if Allegri turns out to be the next big thing. but it's just way too early to say he's proven himself. 'so far so good' or something along that line would be more appropriate.
han2503
Yep Dinho s running like crazy.

Also we're seeing Pato oing from right to left a lot, while Dinho is drifting from left to center and letting Seedorf be ahead of him, unlike last season where we were very static.

The key imo is the fact that Pirlo is so free, or he's just making it look that way because he just looks like he's in his world cup form

WTF!! R80 tracking back...now who said the coach hasn't made a difference!!;)

The same smart people that wanted to sell Ronnie and that can't see how ready the team is!
Boban10
Great attitude and spirit shown so far. Confident as if allegri has the players knowing exactly what he wants them to do. Great first half, keep it up lads!

And yeah R80 tracking back, will be checking youtube for that clip tomorrow wink.gif

Forza Milan!!!

You beat me to it. This is exactly the problem(for Lecce). If Lecce change this up, they will be more competitive with us.

Pirlo has been marvelous, a huge turnaround from his friendlies performances. Very impressed.

Ronaldinho. Wow. Pato. Wow. Magnificent.
amancik
Wow, Pato could've had 4-5 goals today.

Best I have seen us play in years. I don't know how true it is that Lecce's lineup is mostly youngsters, and if that is true I will slightly reserve judgement about how good we actually are, but there does seem to be a smoothness and understanding between the players that's been missing for a long time. Allegri may just have completely overhauled this team's mentality.

More of the same in the second half.

Full time, surely. I'm not too much into one night stands. laugh.gif And part of that is because I finished a couple of things (language and design courses among others), last week, so my schedule has eased up a bit. Great to be back among friends.

I am so behind the times these days that I only found out before kick off that we'd signed him biggrin.gif
MizNelson
Yeah, we're off to a great start, but some people are really getting carried away here. It's only the first HALF of the first game of the season, and Lecce are anything but a powerhouse.

Allegri hasn't proven anything yet. It's his first game (preseason means nothing, like in the NFL), and please let's not start the "...and people wanted to sell Dinho" rhetoric already. There's 37 more games to go, plenty of time for guys to start sucking and us duly demanding their heads on a stick.

Appreciate the heads up, of course. king.gif Thanks!
han2503
I bet that x-off is still watching this game saying Ronnie is shite, doesn't track back, slows up play, etc, etc biggrin.gif

This certainly isn't Barca or Inter or Man U. But the point is that we look fluit, fit and just plain determand, something I haven't seen in quite a while.

Also was that the doctor Pato kept going to hug after his goals?

The nature of the football fan Miz. We've suffered so much that any slight nugget of positivity is latched onto like a leech. If people wanna go OTT about things, I won't begrudge them it. As long as they can handle it if and when things are ever so slightly less peachy.

One thing I will say - Lecce were the type of side we'd normally struggle against, so to be horsing them is the way things SHOULD be.

I suspect he will frustrate and amaze in equal measure. I hope his ego isn't as ridiculous as it has been in the past. Maybe his rather unfulfilling time at Barca will have brought him back down to earth.

Well, Leo was an absolute rookie, and the mood at Milan wasn't the best. Kaka had just left and we hadn't done anything noteworthy in the market. not trying to defend Leo here but I think these reasons played a part in our slow start (we won at Siena if memory serves but the game wasn't the best).
Fishdoll
Wait, so I'm missing something by not listening to the english commentary? Darn!
Fillipo Simone
Okay guys, I know Allegri has to be praised, but please not that Lecce has a nonexistent defensive midfield, their marking of Pirlo and Ambrosini is awfull, and they fielded a pretty young defense.
Fishdoll
He looked quite cheerful, genuinely so. Wearing the club polo and holding up the jersey. The red carpet was a bit much but, well, we're the club with player names in gold lettering so....

Also, unless Lecce suddenly score a couple of goals, this might be a godo game to let the kids have a few minutes. Any of them on the bench? Haven't seen pictures of bench.

D'Agostino equalizes for Fiorentina. Nice shot from the edge of the area.

This man speaketh the truth. king.gif And not only the club's face had left (Kaka), the icon too retired (Maldini). We lost the first two matches then. As for Allegri well, great start, but I will reserve the final verdict till after the last match. For what it matters, anything less than a very strong challenge to the death for the Scudetto should be a disappointment, considering the squad we have. That, and good showings in the CL.
