KEEP ON TRYING

we have to win again!

They beat us earlier this season, time to avenge our loss. Nothing but 3 points will do.
I'd go with a similar lineup as today.

Why two Atalanta threads?
Anyway. Another must-win, but the Bergamo team cause us trouble occasionally. We have a strange history with them.
My prediction: 2:1 or 2:0 for us. Seedorf could score..

kaka should be back for this one

I'm hoping for a 3-1 win, but 2-1 or 2-0 is acceptable ...
Scorers;Pato, Kaka or Seedorf
Darunia
Mar 27 2008, 09:33 AM
A 1-0 win is acceptable.
Any win will do.
Our players should be decently rested, Pirlo, Gattuso played only a half vs Spain.

yep.
Pato played around 30 mins and I also think Seedorf played only in the second half (I'm not sure)
then, Nesta, Ambro, Paolo, Oddo, didn't play at all..... so it seems that we'll be fresh.

Guys, we gotta decide which of the two threads will be "the official Milan-Atalanta" one,..

Pippo may be recovered enough for the bench for this game -- there might be a little extra motivation for him to be fit enough for a (brief) appearance in this one as his kid brother plays for Atalanta.
I'd really like to see Pirlo rested - start him on the bench and put him on if needed - for this one. The poor guy's knackered.

Pato hasn't scored at home for quite a while [despite great performances]. I think he will grab one or two goals against Atalanta. especially now that he's flying high!

2-0 Pato and Kaka' Goals

Mar 27 2008, 08:18 PM
Here's Gazzetta's probable formation:
Kalac
Oddo Nesta Kaladze Maldini
Gattuso Ambrosini Brocchi
Seedorf
Pato Paloschi
Frighteningly uncreative with three defensive mids, but...Pirlo really needs the rest and can come on if things fall apart.
Here's the projected bench:
Dida
Jankulovski Favalli
Pirlo Emerson Gourcuff
Gilardino

I do not like the idea of playing 3 DMs at home, it just seems so pointless. But Pato seems likely to score in every game he plays, 1-0 Milan. pato.

Atalanta plays very entertaining football from what I've seen of them this season and I am expecting them to beat us. Maybe a draw... But with that line up... Just... Yeah..

is kaka gonna make it?
Tennie
Mar 28 2008, 12:19 AM
I suspect not, sansiro1708. He did physical therapy today so is probably not going to play at the weekend. He may be back for the Cagliari game and will almost certainly be back for the Zebra game.

Mar 28 2008, 01:12 AM
i would play this 11,
Kalac
Oddo Nesta Maldini jankulovski
Gattuso Pirlo Seedorf
Kaka
Pato Paloschi

Good, that's what I suspected too. No sense in rushing him in. It'd be better if he can rest Cagliari, and be back for the Juventus. Speaking of which, I just can't wait for that match.

That probably means another match with that guy who calls himself Pirlo...
He needs to be rested. But Milan Kakaless and Priloless. Can we relay on just Clarence?

Hope Paloschi starts but wouldn't be surprised if Gila does. Altho Gila has the "flu"
Tennie
Mar 28 2008, 06:25 PM
Hrm. Well, Gila recovered from his 'flu' enough to train with the team today and score a goal in the practice match, according to the 'today's training' piece on acmilan.com's italian page. He may get the start.
Bonera has recovered from his foot injury and also trained with the group, which to me is good news.
Pippo, Cafu, and Kaka trained separately.

To be honest I dont think we can finish 4th place.
Weve got a game with juve and inter. and no way we can beat them.
we can barely beat a team like atlanta and torino.
viola only have inter to worry about and thats it

If Inter keep up their sluggish form, then we stand a chance. We sleepwalked through Torino, but it'll be far easier to get it up for the derby.
