WHAT A DISCUSSION!
Atalanta thread completely hijacked. But let's go further on and make some comments,..

we will do a Bayern next season if we get UEFA Cup
I allready explained why we won't be able to apply their strategy. It's simple Serie A teams>Bundesliga teams. We cannot offer to the players, players like Ribery, Ze Roberto, Klose, Toni or Borowski, the same Bayern did.

To say the least, that's why I think going to UEFA cup will only do good to Milan in the long run. we all saw how ending up in the CL led to world class signings this season
Wrong logic. Our board is stubborn and not flawless, but they are not imbeciles. They have certain ambitions - and it's evident that finishing barely 4th and being knocked-out from CL in phase 2 is a failiure. We don't need to reach the bottom to be back again next season on our feets. Not neccessary.

Why are we even trying to compare our DMs with Gourcuff? I agree with Tennie's assessment though - Brocchi and Emerson provide more reliability, Gourcuff has shown glipses of possessing more footballing talent in terms of creating things etc.
I do totally agree with Tennie and La Palma on this one. Being a Bundesliga fan for quite some time I must note that Emerson played well there, showed much talent, made assists, scored and did not exactly play a strict DM. It's Don Fabio who spoiled him and made him do the awfull job. This season, after a misfortune in Real and some injury problems, he's unrecognizable compared to the Leverkusen days. But this guy deserves certainly a chance and extra time, cause he's valuable and proved his ability. Brocchi? What to say. He's either a disaster or good. He can shoot, run, and his pass is more reliable the Yo's. While Gourcuff's basic passing skills are better, his attitude is different and he tends to complicate and eventually makes wrong passes. His crosses are way to strong.

By the way, i think Gourcuff is better than Brocchi+Emerson, Carlo doesn't know how to get the best out of him, just like he failed to get the best out of Henry in Juventus..! any objections???
Well, that's just a mean comment and not comparable situation. Any objections? Well, a few of them - for example, it was Carlo Ancelotti who gave Henry the chance and a starting player status. He played at first bad, but managed to overcome this and started scoring. Then Luciano Moggi stepped in. But here you are;

Henry: Moggi Disrespect Forced Me To Leave Juve
Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has sensationally slammed Luciano Moggi, blaming him for his departure from Juventus.
The French international left Juventus for Arsenal in 1999 after failing to settle in completely, and blamed the former Juventus director for his exit.
"When I came to Juve I had a problem with my back. However, I wanted to play at once," Henry began, speaking to Sky Italia.
"When [Carlo] Ancelotti became manager I began to play all the games. At the start, there was not much to shout about, but after the game against Roma, I began to score and to turn in assists.
"Then something happened with Moggi which I didn't like - I don't want to go into the details.
"My character came out because I am an honest lad and, for me, it was a case of disrespect.
"If that hadn't happened, I would probably have continued to play for Juventus. But after this lack of respect I told them I didn't want to play there anymore and so I left."
The striker also dropped a hint that he was not as comfortable at Barcelona as he would probably have hoped, praising his Arsenal days.
"It doesn't matter how things work out with my new club," he added. "I will never find the same affection that I was shown at Arsenal, partly because I think I will never play for another squad for eight years - my legs won't let me.
"To play for Arsenal for eight years, winning or losing at Highbury, the joy, the sadness, everything was simply incredible.
"You often return to the place that you belong and, therefore, I hope one day to be able to work with the club.
"I have the club in my blood - I always follow Arsenal when they play and I'm happy when they win.
"I'm proud to have played for Arsenal and to be a fan. Before I didn't support any club, but now I'm an Arsenal fan and it's difficult for me to not follow the matches."
That said, it will be his comments about the much-maligned Moggi that will hit the headlines.
Still convinced Ancelotti did wrong with Henry?
Please, leave the man alone till season end, or at least try not to use past events to explain the present.
