Yes he WAS the best as in PAST TENSE, we need someone that could fill in for Sheva, not someone that has been in a decline for these past 3 years, we need someone young and energetic who can score goals and make assists, Ronaldo has turned into another goal poacher, and we don't need that sort of striker

Even if we will bring him to reasonable shape
1)It will take some time
2)He is already almost 30. We have enough 30 year old and + players on the team
3)It will be much more smarter to invest in player like Sobis who is only 21 and can play many years for the club and improve
4)R9 has legs problems after so many injuries and he is likely to get injured again. Remember his term in Inter he was injured a lot.
5)Berlusconi is senile

Another thing:
A superclub like Milan do not need to buy players like R9 in this stage in their career. It's hurting the club image. We need to buy players like him in their peak!!!

R9 .. is one of the best Center Forwards that I have laid eyes upon .. Him, Maradonna, Shevchenko, Rivaldo, Cantona, Henry, Muller, etc ..

But you see, he doesn't live up to that image of him since he got that knee injuries. He lost like 40% of his potential when that happened.

He cant do what he did in his prime; he can't run into the heart of the defence make a fast left and tuck it into the goal. That was the R9 I knew ...

Nowadays he manages to get in a good performance, but not as lethal as he was .. We lost Shevchenko, and we need someone of that weight ..

Ronaldo would be great for the clubs' image, but that is about it

I think Ronaldo was great in the 2002 World Cup. He scored like 7-8 goals, and that's amazing. If he still was that Ronaldo, I would love him to come. But now he's just a fat bald meat king and it would take a long time to take him back to his early levels. And considering he's already 30, that would be just a waste of money.

There is no replacement for Scheva. Only Ronaldinho and Henry could come to Milan and make an immediate impact.

Sobis and Tevez wouldn't come and immediately be up for European player of the year.

Ronaldo was solid last season but bowed out with injury problems.

Indeed it is good to invest in the future, but the future may not be for a couple years. The problem with Sobis is theres no guarentees. Its us speculating on the future.

With Scheva we lost 20+ goals this season and need to make that up now.

That's why Milan wanted to buy Sobis + one more striker. Probably Tevez.

It will take some time until he will be back un shape. Don silvio wants to bring a big name and to satisfy the fans.
