AC Milan are set to step up their bid to sign Ronaldo from Real Madrid later this week.

According to Spanish daily AS, the Italian giants will move for the chubby Galactico if they qualify for the Champions League group stages on Tuesday night.

The Rossoneri take a 1-0 lead into the second leg of their qualifier against Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade.

And if they prevail, signing Ronaldo will become their number-one priority on Wednesday.

Ronaldo has already had one spell at the San Siro, starring for Inter Milan from 1997 to 2002 before leaving acrimoniously for Madrid.

Milan only have two front-line strikers after the departure of Andriy Shevchenko to Chelsea - Filippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino.

And the arrival of Ronaldo would be a massive pre-season boost for Carlo Ancelotti.

The one problem for Milan in sealing a deal could be Madrid's desire to take another Brazilian - midfield superstar Kaka - away from the San Siro.

New Bernabeu president Ramon Calderon said during his election campaign that he'd sign Kaka if successful, but so far he's been unable to deliver on that boast.

The player recently signed a new contract with the Rossoneri, but Calderon could play hardball and demand Kaka as part of any deal for Ronaldo

I think you're riht, we lose out on Sobis, Tevez would like to go to England as his first option we are his THIRD option (since when have Milan become second best in what they do?). What the hell does Silvio want FatNaldo for, he isn't even good for the marketing aspect, because people don't see him as a great player anymore just the poster child for Mc Donalds. I think Everyone from our management needs to get their heads examined

And since when do reporters know Tevez's preferable options??? For all I know THEY should have their heads examined!!!

I hope you're right dst and the board is just waiting until Wednesday when we're (hopefully) qualified for the CL.

We all know that Chelsea would be the first option, I'm not saying that it would be HIS first option but because of the ties his current club have with Abramovic.

At first I was very impatient, then after the Ibra going to Inter thing I sort of got faith again that they really had someone that copuld be good enough to replace sheva, but with this whole thing with Sobis, which seems to be getting more clearer that he ain't comin I'm starting to think that they are really after Ronaldo, just so they could say they gor Ronaldo (which I think is all Silvio's doing). If they really want Ronaldo that bad somebody should send them some tapes of the last 2 seasons of La Liga and the world cup, maybe that would straighten them up.

Guys.. be patient. There are still 10 days until the window closes.

Berlusconi has AC Milan deal in-place for Ronaldo

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi will push for a deal with Real Madrid over Ronaldo on Wednesday morning.

Berlusconi is confident Milan will dispatch Red Star Belgrade in their Champions League qualifier tomorrow night and once the mission is complete, will press Real to sell Ronaldo.

A deal is already reportedly in-place, with Milan paying £10 million for the former World Player of the Year, who has agreed terms on a three-year contract worth a massive £18 million.

Berlusconi is determined to land a big-name to replace Andriy Shevchenko and will push through a deal for Ronaldo, despite the reservations of close friend Arrigo Sacchi.

Sacchi worked with Ronaldo while general manager at Real and Il Giornale says he told Berlusconi: "Doctor, I refer you to the opinion of (former Real vice-president) Emilio Butragueno, who said, 'Capello must have friends in Milan if he's about to solve this big problem '."

Signing fatron would be a total catastrophe, especially if it's only to pi55 the merda off. Sobis would have been a good player to sign but it seems he wasn't a 'big enough star' for Milan - that is how real used to sign their players rolleyes.gif

But I think Silvio wants him, all these rumors surely aren't coming out of nothing, and you know that what Silvio wants he normally gets, that is why I am getting really scared, how can they even think that a fat Ronaldo that has constant injuries and can barely run anymore can replace someone like Sheva

We're signing fatron because of who he is and it is pathetic. While real and Barca and chelscum strengthen their teams, we sign players like fatron and Favalli...

Destino de Sobis será o Racing Santander

Valencia, Sevilla e Milan perdem a briga para ficar com o atacante

Divino Fonseca

O destino de Rafael Sobis já está confirmado. O atacante é a nova contratação do Racing Santander, time da Primeira Divisão do Campeonato Espanhol.

Don Silvio is a business man.

He knows that bringing in Ronaldo is a good choice financially as well as Ronaldo is the only experienced player in the transfer market who could come in and score some goals. He's got to do something drastic.

Brazil is different than Italy. Sobis and Tevez have a terrain to adapt to when they come to a more pressured game and a defensive style of football.

Why not buy all three of them, sell Amoroso, and next season sell off some of our excess strikers and get Torres. Then we could have Gila, Sobis/Tevez, Ronaldo, and Torres.
