Yeah, but talking sense doesn't really factor into the anti-Allegri agenda. We could get denied 50 blatent penalties, but if we get 1 that shouldn't have been. OMG THE REF WON US THE GAME!

It's not like it was never a penalty either. it was soft, but that defender was more worried about bringing Balo down than to get the ball. luckily he tripped over Balo, that makes it look more like a penalty!

I think if he finished 3rd, we couldn't complain one bit. You could nitpick and point out that it was the inclusion of Balotelli that made all the difference, but that would be just silly. We need the stability for now and he hasn't done too badly.
QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Feb 5 2013, 09:43 AM)

3rd place or no 3rd place, I can't stand this soulless football we display each weekend anymore, and you know I've always been rather pro-Allegri. it's time to part ways. he did a good job because we could end up like Inter, but that doesn't win him one more season because (since we'll be playing in CL) next season should be about making a big step forward not simply surviving a mass overhaul and I honestly don't think Allegri is the right man for that.

Saying someone deserves slack if they achieve something then not giving them that when they achieve that just doesn't look very good now does it.
Everyone knew top 3 was a given though, which is why I was happy to put money on the line and nobody was confident enough to oppose it.
Honestly, I don't even really care. I just want better players than this rubbish we have now.

You're being ridiculous
We made those comments in February, after recovering from the worst season in over 50 years. 3rd seemed like the holy grail at the time
I made that comment but never eluded to it having to do with Allegri. I've been 100% against Allegri since basically last season. I gave him praise where it was due after individual games this season but aside from that I've always wanted him out.
The fact is that we robbed third this season. Simple as.
@ the person who mentioned the Fiorentina game, we were also 2 up because the ref sent off one of their players for a soft foul.

The facts are that we've won a
considerable amount of games this season thanks to ref calls which weren't all that... hmm... how do you say this... legit would be the less offensive word to use.
Our run of wins was marred by such cases, and to end the season like this continues to compound on that bitter taste left in the mouth. Had these calls gone against us we wouldn't even be in the EL spots right about now.
I'm not saying we bribed refs, but you can see with your own eyes what happened this season, especially these last few months. You can't say we deserved it when we absolutely did not deserve it.
You constantly complain about Villa getting the sh!t end of the stick with refs in the EPL thread yet when it goes our way in Serie A you think it's deserved. Those are what you call double standards, I believe you've accused various people of such opinions in the very recent past
kurtsimonw

Double standards I complain when things go against and will admit when we get them - this game is a perfect example.. Over this season it's been pretty much average for Milan - again, this game was a prime example of the season. get fucked, then get it even. Overall we deserved 3rd as the table shows.
But anything to have a go at the man you said couldn't win us this game at HT.

Lol, yeah Allegri won us the game
And no things have not evened out, let's start with the penalties Balo has scored, half of them were of the softer variety.
And as I've pointed out above, no, things weren't evened out today. Siena got a soft free kick in a relatively neutral area, it was our players that switched off and did not defend a simple cross into the box, we on the other hand were absolutely gifted the cheapest penalty of the season. And if you want to really get into it, the free kick that then led to our second goal was as soft as the one Siena were given.
It's the same exact thing as the Fiorentina game, yes they were gifted 2 penalties, but we were given the bigger advantage of playing with an extra man for over 50 minutes. It's our fault that we did not kill the game off and instead decided to stroll for the rest of the game and got rightly punished for it
X-Offender
May 19 2013, 11:53 PM
I don't think we bribed the refs, but it's very, very peculiar how many favorable calls we've had this season. Sure, there were the first derby and the Firenze game where we were literally robbed, but all the other episodes truly gave us a hand in achieving this 3rd place.
Some of the comments from Fiorentina after tonight:
Sporting director Pradè: "It was an already written epilogue, we all imagined how it was going to end"
Gonzalo Rodriguez: "If I say what I think, then they ban me for life in Serie A"
Cuadrado: "The ref errors in Italy are incredible"
Viviano: "Better fourth than thieves".
Obviously they feel robbed, even though they all should shut their mouths and remember the two clear penalties denied to us against them in Firenze, especially the second one.

I see you guys discuss still things like it's day one. Well, here's my take:
Shameful performance. We need substantial changes in terms of personnel, on all accounts. Firstly, we need a few good signings. Not quantity, but quality. This is very doubtful if the present financial situation and the rumors are take into account.
Secondly, we need a new coach. Allegri's shameful shenanigans should be ended. Even that bonehead Galliani should have realized that by now. His clueless handling (starting Niang, then bringing in Constant to play his first match ever on the right side - just a few short examples) has to be stopped. His lack of idea and tactical preparation is appalling. The man simply isn't suited for Milan so good riddance.
And finally, to all of you who believe Milan have a plan. I don't think so. I really don't. I heard Capello rejecting a Milan backroom role after leaving England - because he couldn't see Milan has a long term project. The youngsters and cheap signings - politic is just a some screen. We don't have the scouting network nor the experience to suddenly become the new Porto or Arsenal. Sometimes we hit gold, but most of the times we end up with the Niang's of this world. Also, Galliani's reign should come to an end. I give him 1 last season; but the man seems deluded. He's reputation as a miracle man and a tactician costed him finally - his ultimate trick is he managed to delude himself into thinking we have a strategy, a long-term plan, a direction.
In fact, we don't have anything. No legends, no class, no real coach, and no real management. Just the name.

I have no doubt the referees were paid off. No doubt. Berlu wanted CL, Berlu got CL. I don't care if you believe me or think what I'm saying is ridiculous. If you have ANY depth of insight into how Berlu runs his political machine and the Camorra's ever-growing involvement, you will know fixing Serie A games to meet certain expectations is rather a piece of cake for them. From there, it only takes some paying attention to details and emerging trends.
Anyways, it's not like everybody else is clean in Italy.

This is true. I don't feel like I want to stop supporting Milan, but I certainly am for an overhaul of owner, directors, managers and players. How and if it will happen, I have no idea! But if nothing else, I've witnessed Milan beat teams in the CL with determination and elegance once not too long ago and that was enough for me to call myself a fan. But what direction Milan choose to take from here is up to them and out of my control. I hope for the best.
