No real point to this one.

Abate--Yepes--Sokratis--Antonini
Boateng--Pirlo--Flamini
Seedorf
Robinho--Dinho
Darunia
Hope to see some of our kids get a run out
CrazyMilanFan
rest as many players as we can play oddo,r80 and strasser
han2503
The players that should be rested are Thiago, Nesta, Ibra and Ambro. Flamini hasn't played that much in the last week, same goes for Boateng, Seedorf didn't play yesterday so he can play this one. Dinho and Robinho will most likely end up drifting to the wings like they did yesterday but the mids can push up to provide support.

Win or lose it's not really an issue. I'd like to see Verdi and Strasser get some time. Maybe a striker as well
Fillipo Simone
Would be great. Also Amelia on goal definitively.

Why do those players need a rest? Oke, rest Nesta and Ibra, those two should be exhausted now. But the rest don't need a rest because the match against Bologna wont continue. That means we have 11 days of rest after this match before Milan - Roma.

I agree when you would say: give the benchplayers some time so that they feel part of the team as well.

@han2503
That was exactly my line up, only i would play silva instead of papa. And Amelia in goal.

We need to win this. I hate Ajax and we need the ca$h biggrin.gif 300.000 euro's extra if we win.
CHU-LIP
I wouldn't risk Thiago Silva. He's too important to Milan. Is it 100 procent sure the Bologna match will be postponed? Anyone knows more about this?

Allegri to make Dinho decision

Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri will decide whether to pick Ronaldinho in his starting line-up for tomorrow's Champions League clash with Ajax.

The Brazil international suffered a knock in training yesterday, scuppering Allegri's reported plans to use him.

“Milan will go out on the pitch to play an important game,” Allegri explained. “Dinho didn't train yesterday.”

“If he recovers, he'll play with Robinho by his side. Ibra will start on the bench.”

Allegri isn't a fan of rotation, but La Gazzetta dello Sport understands he will welcome Ronaldinho back in the fold to further experiment with his midfield.

Milan are working on having two variants of the 4-3-1-2 formation, one with Andrea Pirlo and Robinho and the other with Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato.

Obviously the latter is unworkable at the moment given Pato's absence through injury, hence Allegri's preference to play Ronaldinho alongside Robinho tomorrow night.

However, it would appear that the former World Player of the Year is still considered an alternative to Clarence Seedorf whose balanced play has made his Milan's No 1 trequartista.

Bolded part is interesting.

Just seeing Sheva in 2008-09 jersey makes me sad. it was... plain wrong.

Ibra, Zambrotta and Gattuso certainly wont play, says Allegri. And he wont accept less than a victory
Jack Bauer
Called up:

PORTIERI: Amelia, Roma; DIFENSORI: Abate, Antonini, Bonera, Jankulovski, Papasthatopoulos, Thiago Silva, Yepes; CENTROCAMPISTI: Ambrosini, Boateng, Flamini, Merkel (n.52), Pirlo, Seedorf, Strasser; ATTACCANTI: Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Ronaldinho, Verdi (n.55).

I'd play something like that:

Amelia
Oddo--Yepes--Sokratis--Antonini
Seedorf--Strasser--Flamini
Merkel
Verdi--Dinho

X-Offender
^ How do you expect Oddo to play when he's not called up. biggrin.gif

This is how we'll play:

Amelia
Bonera - T. Silva - Yepes - Antonini
Flamini - Pirlo - Boateng
Seedorf
Robinho - Ronaldinho
Jack Sparrow
Should be adequate. Most of the teams today, played their youth squads. Hope Milan give a few kids a look in.

Wait, wtf? Thiago Silva? F~ no. Is he is going to play, I will be annoyed. He is our most important player along Zlatan. We have millions of central defenders, most of them never play while are not that bad. If Bonera plays as full back, it has to be Yepes and Sokratis as central defenders. Don't risk Thiago Silva! We N E E D him so bad!

You won't get them. cool.gif

Allegri's serious about wanting to win this one. I guess it's a good thing since we don't want to disrupt the momentum we're having so far. Still, I'd like to see all the young ones to at least play 5 - 10 minutes.
Protagonist
Give the youth a trial in this one. Whether we win or lose, the ultimate positive we should take would be to see our youth prospects in action.
Jack Sparrow
It would prove not a lot. If we lose we'd say it's because our youth haven't had enough time to play and gel. I think though that some of the other first stringers could do with some match practise. Like R80, Flamini, Antonini etc.
drucurl
want to see Merkel play. Didn't get to see him in the preseason wanna know what the fuss is about. I remember Darmian was supposed to be the next Maldini and Di Gennaro was definitely the next Baggio laugh.gif
Jack Sparrow
Didn't really see anything amazing in Merkel. At least Strasser seemed adequate if reckless.
X-Offender
Probable line-up: (4-3-1-2) Amelia, Bonera, Thiago Silva, Yepes, Antonini; Flamini, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Seedorf; Ronaldinho, Robinho.

I wanted to see Boateng instead of Ambro.

Seriously? We're going for the win aren't we?
William405
fff,I don't understand the momentum thing. If our youth lose, what does that have to do with the momentum of the team, that's just rubbish nonsense.Thiago silva,Ambro shouldn't play. Those two players need the rest.
X-Offender
I'd have played Sokratis instead of Thiago, to be honest.

Aside from that and Ambro, It's a good line-up imo.

Playing the Primavera is out of the question imo, we'll see someone come on in the 2nd half

Why it is so out of the question? Barca yesterday played few kids in the line up and the world didn't end. The even won the game ohmy.gif
I'm not saying to paly 11 primavera but what is so shocking to use 3 or 4 of them in the game that means absolutely nothing? Playing T.Silva in this game instead of Sokratis is just plain stuipid.

BECAUSE OUR PRIMAVERA SUCK!!! When will you people realize this?

By the way, looking at the numbers of some of our players tonight: 33, 70, 76, 77, 80. Get proper numbers FFS!!! dry.gif

Again, we are talking about 3 best primavera players that were called up. If we can't play them in a meaningless game, when we are suppose to test them?

+1899. sleep.gif If they suck, let the fans (and the world) see. The worse the kids can do is improve. And then we say our youth system is not good. My point is, we can't gauge their performance unless at least 3 of them get a game. No better time then now, as Jack Bauer put it.

We're not Barca, and certainly don't have the talented kids like Barca do. Merkel? Please! He's nothing special, Strasser imo is the only one ready for a chance

Also Sokratis is far from a Primavera, he's played in a WC and had been a regular Seria A player for a while now, so it's not a strecth to play him, thus I agree that he should be playing instead of Thiago
William405
Also,I'm so happy for NO GATTUSO!

Also, han I think verdi is a good player.Wouldn't hurt to play him,I'd be happy if he had 20minutes or so.

He's talented, but he's too raw, ceratinly not ready to start against Ajax maybe he can come in during the last 15 minutes for Seedorf or Robinho

Then, like acid said, let's see if they suck or nor. Most Milan fans don't have the opportunity to see them play, and why not to test our best youth players that are rated highly (like Verdi for example) in action at least once or twice a yaer in games where they are allowed to make mistakes.
EDIT: Not all Barca's players that played yesterday will make it to the main team but at laest they gave them the stage.
