If Seedorf gets injured, then he'll play Boateng. If Boateng gets injured, then he'll play Pirlo. If Pirlo gets injured, then he'll play Robinho. Bottom line is, whether we need a substitute for Seedorf or not doesn't depend at all on Dinho's departure. It depends on the fact that we only have one natural trequartisa, and thus yes, we need another one to have more depth in that position. I repeat, Dinho is no longer in the plans of Allegri, otherwise he wouldn't have let him warm the bench for seven games straight.
All of those options aside from Pirlo are terrible options at best. Personally I don't want Seedorf playing there, I want Pirlo behind the strikers, Boateng in the midfield, obviously Allegri does not see it that way, Boateng is no AM, doesn't have the touch or vision, basing that theory on the Brescia game would be incredibly naive, since Brescia were just plain pathetic at best, Seedorf cannot play regularly, simple. He's been over worked, suddenly he's tired and his form has dropped. Robinho is not an AM it was tried out and failed, what's the point of it?
Dinho goes? No problem, just bring someone in who can actually play the position. Seedorf isn't a real trequartista either, not to mention all the physical limitations he brings to the table. If Allegri was willing to play Pirlo there and let Seedorf be his sub, then I agree with you, Dinho wouldn't be needed but that is not the case. And if Seedorf does get injured and Allegri gets it into his stubborn head that he wants Boateng playing there, then we'll be royally screwed
