LOL at the funding biggrin.gif

We are continually told we have no money, yet we sign Borriello, R80 and sheva in the same season dry.gif

What a complete joke!

Galliani says no more transfer and we buy Cardacio, Viudez, Shevchenko, (not to mention the probable CB buy). that's even worse. rolleyes.gif

everyone at milanfan.com will be pissed with this move until he scores his first goal

then everyone will love him again.

i welcome him back...sure i was pissed when he left, but milan just not been the same since he left.

I'm already loving him again! I said I would lose my respect for him but now I see I just can't do that.

And even though we won the CL after he left, I agree, Milan wasn't the same after he left...

His arrival would make the team more competitive..However, he looked better in the Milan jersey anyways.. wink.gif

well it took me a few minutes to get over the shock but if Shevchenko helps Milan win Lo Scudetto in Maldini's final seaon then I will have forgiven him FM

Why? Because we keep strengthening the wrong positions. I'd rather see a fresh goalie and some strengthening in the defense rather than a 32-year old Sheva, who will steal game time from our youngsters so they won't get the proper experience. That's why.

And thanks biggrin.gif

LOL rolleyes.gif what silvio wants silvio gets i guess. This has nothing to do with our transfer funds. I'm somewhat happy he is back and somewhat dissapointed that we payed for him. He is def not what we need and i hope we still sign a defender. As far as galliani goes i would not say he's lost because hes signed what? 8 players with 40-60 mil transfer fund which is amazing in itself. He is a mercato genius when having to sign a lot of players with liittle money.

lets see so far who we have:

flamini
antonelli
borriello
ronaldinho
viudez
cardaccio
zambrotta
abate(out)
abbiati
shevchenko

That is 10 players with 1 being transfered out. i can only say wow , did i ever underestimate him or what.

For one, we were lacking strikers... Borriello and Inzaghi are injured. Pato is still not back. We were putting too much on Pato. Abbiati is a good goalkeeper, and I think with one more defender we will be fine. But the fact remains is that we needed more experience in our forward line.

This will ensure we have no more crisis with regards to strikers.

I think our youngsters will get plenty of playing time. Including Pato.
Bluesummers
guys we dont need a goalie right now. Abbiati is probably the best one we can get because no team this close to deadline will part with their gk. If we want a gk we will have to sign him july 1. As far as defenders i believe that we will sign or loan someone. I can't believe i'm saying this but,

In galliani we Trust

You mean Antonini.

We also sold Simic and loaned out Gourcuff.

Either way, this looks like a solid set of signings to me. I'm sure Viudez and Cardacio will stay put.

gourcuff didn't do anything so keeping him here would be a waste of time/space/money. simic ?? LOL laugh.gif

And i also forgot flamini. The man is a genius, truly outstanding. He has shut me up to the core and i was complaining to no end at the beginning of the mercato, ask R7 tongue.gif

Well, Gourcuff I'm sure will do better in the future... he needed more experience... he seems to be developing at a slower pace than expected.

Simic... was still sold, putting emphasis on the fact we need another defender.

Yeah of course Flamini... and I've been nothing less but impressed by him since he arrived to Milan.

This mercato has been full of surprises and good signings.

Ehhh Boriello won't be out very long and Inzaghi have played the last two matches, so no, I wouldn't say we're lacking strikers.

I've always been a skeptic of Borriello. What were to happen if he fails?

Inzaghi is 35 years old and even though I love the guy, he won't be playing all matches. Leaving us with one reliable striker. The young Alexandre Pato.

ADRIANO GALLIANI: "Welcome home Andriy"
8/23/2008

MILAN - Adriano Galliani talked at 19.00 live to Milan Channel about Sheva: "After a series of frenetic phone calls held during the entire day, we have reached an agreement with Chelsea. Andriy comes back in red and black, tomorrow he'll be in Milan, on Monday he will undergo the medical visits, then he will sign his contract, and on Tuesday evening he will be available to Carlo Ancelotti. We managed to bring back the player who in 50 years has scored the most goals with our shirt. President Berlusconi and I are happy, so is our coach, and I think our fans should be too. I think Milan are the only club in the world who have three Golden Ball winners in the team. Yes, Andriy has returned home and I am happy. I've spoken to Andriy 48 times in the last three hours... the details of the deal are very private. Before tomorrow night Andriy will be in Milan and his life as a Milan player will start again. Andriy made a mistake in leaving and I think that in these two years he has understood that Milan is his home. Now he has made economic sacrifices but at this point the only thing that counts is that he is coming back to us."

I don't think that will be much of a problem, we'll be playing a lot of games this season, and with this squad (especially if we manage a CB) I would like to see Carlo trying to go for all 3 competitions we're involved in, yes even the Coppa. And plus, injuries could easily come out of no where if Kaka's injury persists and something happened to R10, we would only have Seedorf, so 2 strikers would be needed to start.

Plus Sheva will be a good influence on Pato he will guide him, he's still young and Sheva is a great professional and a great guy, no doubt he will have a good effet on Pato

Defeinately no 4-2-2-2. That magic square cr@p is what made Brazil so terrible in te world cup. Carlo, I'm hoping, won't make the same mistake.

It will either be 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1. Maybe a 4-2-3-1 at times, but definately not a 4-2-2-2.

Hmm...I dunno what to think about this. Sheva was great in the old days. But he lost my respect and will never regain it.

Well Chelsea fans seem to think that thet've been made a fool of again and that's why they won't release details. Like with the Crespo deal and them buying Sheva in the first place.

Personally I think that Silvio bought Sheva out of hiw own pocket, he wanted him back no matter what so he brought him back, like I said a few posts back, too bad he isn't this determined to get a CB sleep.gif

Maybe that was a bit rash on my part. 4-3-1-2 will only work if we rotate Kaka and Ronaldinho. That formation will never see both of them on the field. And 4-3-2-1 will only see either Shevchenko or Pato on the field. Not them at the same time.

What about 4-2-3-1?

No. Sheva is not worth anymore than 10 million euros in his present state to Chelsea and I don't think we paid any more than that for him.

So Milan 1 Chelsea 0. We got Chelsea to pay 45 million euros for the guy.

I personally think we got him on the cheap because of Robinhos impending arrival to Chelsea.

kaka-r80-pato behind the stiker u mean ? i think we will should play some type 0f 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2 back four than pirlo-flamini after that r80-kaka and after that the stiker now we will have proper 4 stiker so yea 2 stiker should be used

Oh I see the difference here... I consider Kaka and R80 attacking midfielders and Pato as a striker. I think Pato would be better to play alongside another striker, rather than being alone up front... I'm tired of the 4-3-2-1 formation honestly...

4-2-3-1 may neglect some of our other midfielders. My oh my, we have a huge set of midfielders.... lots of depth... but it could cause issues. Either way, best to have an expansive set of players, rather than fewer players. I want Brocchi sold though.

may be converting ambro to CB now get more serious bcoz emerson, rino, pirlo, ambro, cardaccio, brocchi, flamini if we play 2 AMs and 2 stikers only 2 of the players will play and we will have seedorf on bench as well

Yeah but I think Rino may be rested more often... there are many possibilities for the midfield and that pleases me. Our set of strikers is looking more polished now too...

It's actually a little unnerving to me. I can't automatically name Milan's starting XI for any given game. We've actually got options. Would like one more in defense (or for Darmian to get a LOT more playing time than I'm guessing he's currently likely to get) just to be safe.

[Adriano Galliani was interviewed on Milan channel about Sheva: 'After a series of frenetic telephone calls yesterday, we've reached agreement with Chelsea. Andriy returns in rossonero, and will be in MIlan tomorrow. Monday he'll undergo his medical after which he'll sign the contract and as of Tuesday he'll be at Carlo Ancelotti's disposition. I've called him 48 times in the last 3 hours. The contents of the agreement are confidential. From tomorrow night Andriy will be in Milan and will recommence his life as a player of Milan. Andriy made a mistake leaving and I think that in the two years apart, he understood that this is his home. Now he's made economic sacrifices but the only thing that counts is that he's returned to us.]
