blink.gif at Borriello's injuries
Bluesummers
Maybe we should take a look at our training facilities, this is getting ridiculous. Every season its the same sh!t. 5 players always injured.
Jack Sparrow
+1. End of the season, put all the b!tches through surgery. Then and only then start training. biggrin.gif
CrazyMilanFan
it seems it is worse then expected 2 months rather than 1 month i think we should not consider him as an option for this season anymore
Zed.D
He didn't even make a comeback after months of injury and now he has to stay out for another 2 months? this is ridiculous huh.gif either Borriello is the next Ronaldo, or MilanLab has a problem [for appointing wrong comeback dates, over and over again]
Tennie
Hm. Maybe this is good news. Borriello had a small cyst removed from his leg in outpatient surgery today. Apparently the cyst is what's been causing the pain. There's hope that NOW he'll finally be able to play. (no timeframe given)
Rossoneri7
His season is over .. We'll see him next season. Sad how I had high hopes for him .. Hope he comes back stronger and with a hunger for success cool.gif

I believe in him and his comeback. Forza Borriello!

I don't doubt his talent and usefulness, I doubt his physical condition. meanwhile or at the end of the Lecce game, he wasn't stretched off the pitch with a broken leg or something. why exatly did he miss 6 freakin' months?! Gattuso damaged his knee ligament and played a whole game with that f*cked up knee and yet made a faster recovery! Borriello is too injury prone and that's a big, big negative IMO. so big that I wouldn't shed a tear if we tried to sell him (I know we won't).

It staggers me that this imitation footballer starts any matches for us. Our weak link against Siena, he's just a horribly awful player who cannot do it at this club.

I don't care what he can do at Genoa, he can't do it for us.

Sooner KJH is up top in his place the better.

Gee, we should give him a break, he's only played 2 matches after his long injury. At least give him some time and then cross him off.

He is the same thing as gilaflop. A striker who can't score. Whats the point in that?
kurtsimonw
I'm beginning to seriously think there's something wrong with the way we play. Too many good strikers come here and fail to score much (Though Gila is wrongly criticised, his scoring record was fine), it's happening too often to be a coincidence.

Borriello has never been a proficient striker to begin with, and has made more headlines for his off-pitch shenanigans. Genoa was an aberration, pure and simple.

He scored 19 that year, but has 13 in the rest of his career combined, topping out at no more than five goals a season.

its cause our strikers have only one route to get fed and that is through the middle. We don't play with wingers so that rules out a big percentage of chances that strikers recieve. Now in the past we have used WB and that did the job but right now in the past 3 years we haven't had a good WB so obviously strikers are going to flop.

So the only strikers who survive in milan are those who can do things on their own such as Pato or Kaka. There have been the rare instances in such cases such as pippo/crespo/tommasson where they have had amazing finish talent and would only need 1-2 chances max.

Borriello is not such and neither is gila so they will obviously share the same fate. The striker who can't score laugh.gif

I could keep Huntelaar on the bench at the moment.

Boriello has been in good form, but many of the same criticisms Gila got could very well apply to him at the moment, in my opinion.

i always thought gila's criticism was unfair..... but he(borriello) does have tendencies to be wasteful, he's a better option than gila cos of that fight and physical presence that keeps defenders worried, gila justs thrives on good service and his good positioning
kurtsimonw
QUOTE (ganney @ Nov 28 2009, 07:25 AM) *

Yeah that's my point. Gila scored plenty of goals for the most part, but was still criticised. Marco has now scared a handful and he's considered a good player for us now.

I admit I do think he's quite important to the way we play and not just his goals, so I've been pleased with him of late.
Danny
Borriello is fair doing his bit to justify his place these days. A double including a belter V Genoa plus an excellent solo striker performance against Juve - he's won me over with some hard working displays including talent and goals.
KillerMax
Borri, you are awesome. cool.gif
