I think the players that SHOULD have scored where Seedorf and Kaka. Gila had a good game, I think Oli should have played next to him for more support. When kaka playes as a makeshift second striker, we lose some of the effectiveness he makes playing from the midfield

Anyway. I am disappointed about this match, but what can you do when the score should be 1-0 but the ref denies you a completely legitemate goal?

This is disgusting. What a pile of sh!t we are, we can't even afford to score against a joke like Lille. I'm utterly disappointed. Now I realize what a huge loss was Sheva for us. We have no chance in winning the CL this season, our only achievment would the scudetto. And on the Gila issue, again, the criticism about him being sh!t and terrible really irritates me. The guy practically had no support, only one clear chance cam to him in the whole match. He was not being supplied with good balls. And as I said before, if we are going to critices someone about not scoreing it should be Seedorf, who had 3 great chances (he regains my faith because of the disallowed goal for the non-offside) and Kaka, who cam in 1-on-1 with the keeper and didn't score.

to me the whole problem is this 'rotating' and 'resting' thing. this is not how a team is managed...

Chalmé: good play although he's not a good player. Two bad balls.
Tavlaridis: great ! Quite never let a chance to Gilardino.
Plestan: good.
Vitakic: difficulties against Cafu.
Makoun: not in his best day but his talent is still here.
Bodmer: incredible. The only reason for not being titularised in the French squad is that he's too polyvalent: not really defensive, not good enough to be a n°10.
Tafforeau: difficult match. A few centres, all missed.
Fauvergue: at a 9 1/2 post he failed all he did. Very too young for this type of match.
Keita: a future Master. Made Jankulowski regret to have visited the Pas-de-Calais !
Odemwingie: not a good match for the Nigerian. Too few balls and bad negociated.

Back to the game: I'm with han2503 on this one. We probably should have won, but these things happen. We're still top of the group and should have no problems qualifying for the next phase.

may i remind all the doubters out there saying bad words against the team and coach that tonight was a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE match not some mickey mouse pre-season game. these are europes elite teams and we cannot expect to win every game. come on lets put things into context i've been calling for the return of the xmas tree formation and an away game in europe is idael situation to play and to all intents and purposes it worked!! we had a good goal ruled out and the team played well. lets have confidence in our team and let other people knock us and we'll get on with surpporting OUR club

Personally i think that the bigger problem, is that we are having the same problem that RM fc people, they are used to see the team winning and palying well, we have now two seasons with out anything, so, it seems ( and i do it ) we are looking only to win, and as you know han, and as far as i know milan is no more a super stars team, literally with out kaka , mila will be less , the team has is not used yet play with out sheva yet, how come will win to chelsea at london, it we have to pley against them in the future, and milan wont score 4 goals at home, so i think the main problem, is that now milan , more that ever is not guiving us the trust that it gave us before....

Last season, by this time we had already drawn 2 and lost one, with a handfull of goals already conceeded.

The only mistake Carlo did in this match was playing Gila alone up there. Oliveira was needed to help Gila out, because everytime Gila got the ball he was being double teamed by the very impressive Lille defence.
I think we had a perfect gameplan for this match the only thing worrying me is the ammount of chances we are missing. But I'm sure it's until our attack regains it's sharpness, especially Kaka

The problem (and I'm saying this since the 1st of September) is that we don't have a strong squad this season. Not on the pitch. Not even in paper (like Inter)... we're miles away from FC Catalunia, Real, Lyon... etc. It's sad to say this but it's the truth.
