Not blaming El Sha for diving, but I wish he had the dignity to tell the ref it wasn't a penalty. but again, not pointing fingers at him.

No way he would have done that!

Could you imagine!! The fans would have linched him had he done that!

This is too crucial a game for us to show such fair actions. The ref gave it. His mistake, his problem

A deserved win?

Nah...

A shocking second half. If we're going on the first half performance then sure. But a match is 90 minutes long not just 45.

It's really worrying how mentally fragile this team is. Absolutely feel apart once that ball went in

thats what happens when you have a young team.

Only way to balance that is with good experienced players. Its hard to rally the boys when they don't respect bonera. Him being our captain is truly an insult to this great club.

If anyone can post the overall game stats, I think (again, overall) we were superior.

And what will happen? Udinese will probably have a fine, the ref will continue doing his job as normal and the Italian FA will do nothing about it. Football really is completely broken to be honest.

I agree, and the sad part is most of the time it's the smaller teams that pay the price for ref's mistakes not Milan's and Juve's and Real's and Barca's. if every team equally suffered from mistakes like this I'd be alright with it.

Definitely. They barely had one decent attack all game.

C'mon man, he didn't dive. There was a clear contact between him and the defender.

Nah it weren't a dive. It was a strong tackle and he clearly unbalanced SES, but he got 100% of the ball first.

I meant the theatrics... I think he had every intention of winning a penalty in that scene.

He'd be a hero for me.

I don't think this game was THAT crucial. 2 points would'n't have meant no CL. there's still a lot of games left to play, we still can do it without the ref's help.

Then kuddos to him. How many times has Inzaghi faked or dived in his career? It's only natural for a striker to go for a penalty when the opportunity presents itself.

Best team won, it wasn't the best way to do it but we deserved the win. That stat sheet is completely one sided.

Yeah I know. as I said I can't and I'm not blaming him. I'm mad at the ref for not giving Udinese a FK and El Sha a yellow card!

What the hell??? If he had not given the penalty, then it should have been a corner for us. FK for Udinese and yellow to SES? Why o why would he do that? We all agreed it wasn't a dive.

When it comes to Inzaghi, actually, I think he got as many (if not more) denied penalties because of his reputation then penalties won by diving.

But anyway, vote top & flop here

What would you do about it?

Refs need to be more accountable. In fact they should have to explain their decisions so we can see why they made it.

It'll never get better when the FAs defend their refs blindly even when they do a **** job and smaller clubs will always get fucked over.
