QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 14 2013, 09:07 PM) I can't see how Galliani says we won't sign anyone when we practically have no DM! Ambro is old and fragile, plus he's not good enough. Muntari is still an enigma, not to mention a horrible football player. Then you have Strasser who never plays. Seriously, De Jong's injury is gonna hunt us more than we expected if baldy doesn't sign a proper replacement before the window closes. I think he's prove you wrong. But apart from the bolded part, I agree. Problem is, we don't have the money to sign a good DM as it looks - so we can choose either to "stay as we are" or sing someone like Mesbah. Plus you forgot Traore (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 15 2013, 12:31 PM) Sky says Robinho will return to Brazil and we will sign Balotelli.
Seriously, I don't know how they come up with stuff like this when the exact opposite is happening. The opposite of what we are told usually takes place G: "I'd rather cut my wrists than sell Kaka" G: "$heva not for sale" G "Zlatan? Impossible" etc etc (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Especially if Santos are unwilling to budge on their offer for Robinho and he refuses to go to another team Still, I think at this poing Balotelli would be a futile signing. Sneijder is who we should be after, not another striker dependant on service that this team cannot provide

Still, I think at this poing Balotelli would be a futile signing. Sneijder is who we should be after, not another striker dependant on service that this team cannot provide I remember when we bought Ronaldinho.....who we really needed at the time was Eto'o....Eto'o would have done wonders to post-$heva Milan....but we got the bigger name the more glamorous player even though he was completely unnecessary. Sadly the same can be said about my beloved Ronaldo....when Drogba and Henry were both better fits and equally attainable. Milan is essentially Berlusconi's toy and whatever will make it look bigger and shinier will be bought if any funds are available Gone are the days where actual teams are assembled. We have to get by on what we could and hope for the president's vanity to work in our favour from time to time. tl;dr= Balo is very possible for our corrupt, vain senile president. Someone that we could actually use like Sneijder is too expensive.

You're 100% correct in your assesment and I don't think Berlu himself could really deny that. Still Senijder would be a far more cheaper option, the money being mentioned for the Galatasaray move is not that large. His wage could be a problem, but given we could cut out Robinho + plus the one Pato earned, offering him 5m would be doable and acceptable for him. Balo on the other hand would be for a rather large sum, no matter how fed up City are with him, plus the huge wages which would be on a par with Sneijder. I think that this is more of a case regarding our inept management and not knowing when a good thing is right under their noses rather than Silvio's vanity

I think that this is more of a case regarding our inept management and not knowing when a good thing is right under their noses rather than Silvio's vanity Well I don't know that our management apart from Berlu is that inept. Actually Berlu himself isn't inept in the slightest either.....they all know what they're doing The problem is that their objectives are different from those of the fans. Berlu isn't stupid.....Milan being cr@p in some twisted way actually looks good for a man wanting to be president (not sure if he withdrew from the race already) in a country under such harsh economic times.....his opponents would SLAUGHTER him were he to splurge on a Falcao or indeed a Balotelli. All of these horrible signings and players along with the epitome of mediocrity Allegri makes us look like "poor Milan". While in public he will put up a strong face, I think in reality he wants us to look this bad. If he was to win the elections I'm pretty sure we'll get some new "football candy"....i.e. a fancy attacker but not necessarily any "football nutrients" i.e. players that we need in less glamorous positions.

I think that sums it up pretty much. As the objective, since the departure of the old guard has been a long-term one, while we, fans, think about the current market and players available for sale ... The club is looking at prospect players which we have not heard of, the likes of SES. EDIT: That is where the frustration of the Milan fans factors in.

EDIT: That is where the frustration of the Milan fans factors in. Maybe. But I'm frustrated by another thing: the fact that after so many years, for the first time they (management) failed to "sell" me their plan. I was on board with most of their moves, but this time I'm not convinced their plan has long-term potential. Why? I already explained - to put it simple - I don't think a club of legends and senators can overnight turn into the next Porto or Arsenal. And even if we turn into Arsenal, I don't find it particularly good. We are Milan and we should be keeping our best players and not turning into a club that creates and then passes on their best players. QUOTE (Zed.D @ Jan 16 2013, 11:25 AM) Exception to the rule...? EXCEPTION?? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/realmad.gif) it'll further prove how hopeless and pathetic we are if we sign Beckham. all the talk of not signing anyone old again, and then bringing in a 37yo for a non-footballing reason we are all aware of. It better remain just a rumor. What is even worse is, given the present constellation, he'd be a good signing.
