QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 16 2012, 06:54 PM) El Shaarawy.
Last season was an exception. Pato was out all season and Cassano got unlucky with his heart condition. And we all know Allegri doesn't play finishers in his line-up. I think Maxi Lopez only started like two games this season, and even then we were in an emergency for strikers. I think €8 million on this guy is a waste, even though he's not bad. Forgot about him. Exception? And you think Pato's injury cycle and Cassano's condition can't be repeated? Also, what if Ibra is banned or injured? I'd treat last seasons luck with Ibra not being injured as the exception. Don't you think a backup is necessary?

I'd treat last seasons luck with Ibra not being injured as the exception. Don't you think a backup is necessary? No, I don't think Cassano's condition can be repeated. And for all we know, Pato might be sold to PSG and replaced by Tevez/Balotelli instead. We already were in an emergency situation this season, and Maxi only played two games from the start. If Allegri didn't use him then, what are the chances of him playing if all our strikers are fit? That'd be €8 million on the stands week in and week out, and honestly, we're not that rich to afford such a luxury. I'd rather recruit a primavera in case of emergency and spend those money on a LB or DM.

PLease find out the new wages. Otherwise there will be hell to pay for if Ambro ever has a bad game. We'll just assume he is on Five million a year and talk of how Strasser should have played instead.

QUOTE (han2503 @ May 15 2012, 05:36 PM) Still, you don't usually take a player's number away from him. If it is as you say, a gesture from the player himself than it's another thing. But we're allowed to be hopeful (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I looked at some clips of this Strootman kid, he looks impressive. I know, youtube can make me look amazing, but the talent is very obvious to see, especially in the way he picks his passes I am wondering too what it means, Van Bommel taking Strootman's number. Van Bommel is doing his best to convince Milan to sign Strootman. Van Marwijk is also a big admirer of Strootman. A year ago he called him up when playing for FC Utrecht, and he has said things about him like he is a player who is not quickly confused, and is strong in battles. And that he has seen enough attributes that will make him a top player. QUOTE (Dracoris @ May 17 2012, 06:45 PM) Wouldn't surprise me to see Pato and Robinho gone next year. I'd keep Maxi for all the reasons stated above (but not for 8m no way), trade Binho for Ganso, and buy Tevez.
Strootman and Ogbonna would be nice based on what you guys are saying but I don't know them. What do people here think of Ogbonna? Both him and Acerbi, I am not familair with them.
