Strootman is easily PSV most important player. A poor defense, and Strootman being the only real support to it, but also having his importance in creating attacks, made it really impressive what he did, and was to me the best player in the league. Later in the season he has been off form though (and then Vertonghen was the best, who was off form earlier season). PSV had no leader, and Strootman came closest to being the leader for this PSV team, at the age of 22. |

La Gazzetta now writes that Inzaghi might not leave either. He also said after the game that he'll decide with Galliani about his future.

Let them be. They have a right to decide whether they stay or not. They don't hold us back, if anyone is holding us back it's the management and coach. Isn't that obvious?

Surely Pippo staying wouldn't change a thing, but it's all this stepping back attitude, considering everything that happened today, which is quite baffling. First Seedorf, now Inzaghi. It's like we're tied to the past and we don't want to let go.

I still hold the view that only Nesta and Bommel should have been tried and kept at all costs for another season or two, the rest shaken hands with.
