Thanks for the vid,can't say I don't like what I see (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

If we buy him,we might as well buy Eriksen, and then Ganso.Oh sweet dreams.

I prefer X's XI. And why we might as well buy Eriksen and then Ganso if we sign Strootman? What do you mean with that?

I mean if we're going to start signing players with high potential, and some creativity(which is unlikely of us).Nothin important ;o

I figure Strootman will cost the least from those three, and Eriksen already promised the Ajax fans to stay another season.

I think the management has no choice but to sign aquilani at the moment...unless they find another "freebie".

As Defense midfielders,we've got Traore,Flamini,Monto,Ambrosini,Strasser. Not so bad,Montolivo is verstile so that should do us good. But,I don't really see the need for a DM,Montolivo can be just that.
We need Ganso, and another creator, with good technique, vision etc...Enough of the defensive midfielders,I'm honestly sick of our midfield not being able to string 2 passes!

Monto is not a DM though.

And none of those you mentioned are good enough to occupy a position right in front of our defence. We need a proper anchor man, Ambro is our only option right now

I don't think Allegri would play Montolivo there. It's against his philosophy.

Has anyone given any thought to Asamoah from Udine. I know we arent linked but I think he would be able to occupy that DM spot without much fuss...

He's not exactly a DM, more like a LCM. He's like a better version of Muntari.

I think he's great. If you guys like to see more, I like this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1UVxLuNcLc

It's about an 18 year old Kevin Strootman, playing for Sparta Rotterdam. They talk about his vision, and that he already knows what he is going to do before he receives the ball, and well, the rest you can simply see. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I would love Milan to sign Strootman, because unlike pretty much every midfielder of ours, he has got vision, creativity, can make key passes. Also he is defensively very strong. As the video shows, already at the age of 18 he played like a true anchor. He would be both a great player for our anchor and LCM/RCM positions.

Playing for PSV, he is not as expensive as other good young players at bigger teams. He has the potential to become a true great player, and that is what we need. Milan has little to spend, so Strootman is ideal. He already played several games for the national team, and he was no worse than Nigel de Jong and Mark van Bommel.

Yes.

Thanks for the info CHU. We really need to sign this guy. I think less than €15 million would be enough.

I've never seen the guy play, but from what I've just seen in the video you posted, he seem much more of an attacking player than vB. More of a Box-to-Box maybe than say an anchor man?

I saw hardly any defensive plays to consider him a 'natural heir'.

Just my take on it (again, just from what I have seen in the video)
