QUOTE (acid911 @ Aug 21 2012, 05:29 PM) Not about to, it's a done deed. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) A few hours back. 7.5 million to be paid for a not-so-special striker, when we could have made a move for someone like Strootman for roundabout this amount. Wonder how long it will take fans to label Cassano a traitor - just like they did to Leonardo almost instantly - if they do, that is. They already have. My guess though is that after the transfer, Cassano will make a general statement, where he blames the coach, the lack of management ambition and the lack of respect/faith in the project. Basically play, poor little rich boy. And some of us will buy into it, and think it was true. I can't believe the transfer rumours though. 7 million for Pazzini. I'd understand if he was 24 or 25. He's 28. What has he got?? But at least our attack looks a little more balanced now, with a primo punta. -----Pato/Rob7----Pazzini/Rob7---- ----------Rob7/KPB------------------- ---Noce------Monty---Ambro/Mattie-- Luca-----CB------CB---------Abate If we can stay fit, we can finish in 3rd. If we lose any of the players for an extended period of time, we're looking to end where Inter did last season.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Aug 21 2012, 02:43 PM) You see everything in numbers, have you ever thought that will these moves make any sense from a technical point of view? cause they don't. we don't need Pazzini when when don't have someone behind him. it's simple.
Galliani should find the right balance between the $$$ matters and the footballing matters. but he looks hopeless to me as far as that goes. Oh no trust me Zed, I'd be much more happier with Zlatan, Silva, Kaka, Sahin, etc and have all of them retire here as well ... Which fan wouldn't? Wallah that would be best (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But as a finance major and a banker at profession, numbers tell me that we can't afford the BIG players. And although many on here vent their frustration at Silvio, he was the sole reason why Milan could bring in the BIG players despite not affording them. That is why I look at numbers they tell a story and paint a picture, yet almost anyone can see we lack a lot in the technical department today not rocket science per-say. Galliani is not super-human, he is just like us and makes mistakes. Except that he has 68 years of experience, and has contributed heavily to Milan's success in previous years. A professional yet given his age, just like Seedorf and Gattuso, you will soon get a new CEO at Milan, just hope that CEO doesn't turn out a Montolivo in comparison (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) P.S. Don't think Pato isn't a concern for me, if he had himself a blistering season I don't have faith in that he will stay on next season ... But don't take my word for it, as I hope (with greed) the Barbara thing is the nail on the coffin for him at San Siro. P.S.2 I think transfer fees are way-off the mark, in a few years time with FFP, the transfer fees should go back to their pre-Abramovic numbers.

Pazzini is at Milanello, Branca announces the clubs have agreed on everything, Cassano will have a medical at Inter. All but official. Gazzetta reports it's a 3-year deal worth €2.8m a year. PAZZINI: "If I'll play against Sampdoria? Let's first finish my medicals, we'll see. I'm very very happy" Djamel Mesbah would join Palermo on a 1-year loan deal with an obligation (!!) to buy from Milan for €2m. [GdS] Palermo would also pay for Djamel Mesbah's loan with obligation to buy (for €2m), it wont be a free loan. [GdS] (suckers) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Milan is waiting an answer from Caen about their 1-year loan offer with a €3m buy-out clause. He'll end his contract in 2014. [GdS] M'Baye Niang would be part of the 1st team, he'd be Milan's fifth striker, not part of the Primaver squad. [Milannews] Both GdS and CdS report that after Cassano leaves, there are bigger chances that Milan can sign KAKA from Real Madrid. QUAGLIARELLA'S AGENT: "Both Milan and Inter are interested in Fabio." Milan is interest in signing Pescara's Marco Perrotta. 18-year-old CB. His agent has confirmed the interest. Milan apparently had an agreement with Berbatov.Since we agreed to the Pazzini deal,The Berbatov plan was scrapped.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) he was his father's sperm 68 years ago. 26 years of experience is already good enough, please don't overrate him. And you completely missed my point, I am resigned to the fact that we can't afford very good players. what I did complain about in my previous post was simply the fact that swapping our only creative player for someone with Pazzini's characteristics makes no sense to me from a footballing point of view (unless there's more buys on the way, something I'm not hopeful about) but the again the man behind this always considered Seedorf a striker so...

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I meant just like you are of X age now in experience in life with which you base your judgments, he is of Y age of experience ... He served Milan 26/27 years yes. And in that period he has served in the Liga as president as well, with which he reached by other clubs rating him and not me. You have only to look back at the Milan teams you had, without taking into consideration the micro-details of things, they were very strong teams that he managed to put together. Obviously with support and backing. I think Pazzini is the type of player Allegri wants. That is the only explanation, aside from the wages of 2.8MM which makes him fit in with ease. I too hope we buy, there is a couple more days to go, Kaka seems to be the name thrown around if when Cassano leaves .. Not sure how his 2nd stint will turn out.

QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 21 2012, 06:23 PM) Kaka is not coming. We do not have the money for Kaka. Last I heard, the money would come from Berlusconi personally. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Galliani asked for, and Mr. B himself said that we will try and sign a big name. The fact that he hasn't moved yet away from Madrid, and you never know. Sure Kaka may not come, but with Cassano leaving, we need him or any other creative player, very seriously. I am sure everyone in the management knows that it will be hard to finish in the top 3 without one.
