Forget about signing a trequartista. Allegri's style of play includes someone who makes pressure and tracks back, i.e. not a pure trequartista. Boateng and Emanuelson are perfect for him.

+1 yup.

A really simple way to look at allegri's tactics is this.

1) get ball to forwards as quickly as possible. (Transition)
2) Forwards either score themselves or buy time for midfield. (Delay)
3) Midfielders bombard the box and overwhelm the opposition as their defence and mid cannot track and cover fast enough. Midfielders score. (Midfield rush)

I like his style alot, its actually a very new style of football. The forewards almost act as decoys buying time for the Midfielders to push up and do damage.

Tevez would have been perfect for us and would have completed our potential attack, shame we didn't get him.

Imagine we had this line up (everyone fit).

--------van bommel-----
-----Boateng----Nocerino

------------Tevez-----
------Ibra--------Cassano

We'd score 4-5 goals every game.

We'd never play that. Tevez would play next to Ibra and Boateng would still be in the trequartista position

do we still own Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang? I know he's been loaned out a bunch but was wondering if any were made permanent. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

He has 11 goals and 4 assists this season for St Etienne in Ligue 1

No, he's 100% Saint-Étienne player.

Doesn't mention Milan. But I'd take him over Tevez.

QUOTE
Italy international Rossi, 25, is likely to leave Villarreal in the summer and, having spent time during his career in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A, it would appear he is favouring a return to Italy.

"I don't think newspaper suggestions of a €15 million evaluation are accurate," agent Federico Pastorello told Paginegiallorosse. "It'll take at least €20 million.

"He is very close to Villarreal, but has many offers on the table from both Italian and foreign clubs. He wants to match himself against the best players and win something, but playing in the Champions League is not to be considered an obsession.

"The ideal thing would be to return to Italy, as Giuseppe considers this to be his favourite league."

Roma are among the sides to have been linked with a move for Rossi and Pastorello added: "We have talked a lot about Roma with Giuseppe. He really likes Luis Enrique's philosophy.

"They deserve respect and are a great side, while those who currently run the club are a guarantee of success. I've known both Franco Baldini and Walter Sabatini for a lifetime and can confirm they really know their football."

Ah, the Aubameyang brothers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif) Didn't think any one of them will come through anytime soon!

We're after Jordi Alba, 23-y-o LB of Valencia. The article says his contract expires this June, but Transfermarkt says it expires next summer.

Anyone seen him play?

I'd snatch Rossi over any other striker. He'd be perfect here if you ask me!

Alba? Never heard of him. Hopefully not yet another Didac Vila case.
