QUOTE (Zed.D @ Jun 2 2012, 11:59 PM) A 38yo legend bids tearful farewells and then decides to stay as if nothing had happened in that farewell game. that'd be an uncomfortably awkward situation. When you put it like this, maybe. But it isn't like that.

What? Okay, here we go... QUOTE please remember everything that happened at the Novara game and see if you can tell me "it isn't like that" again. You took the convenient part, but forgot: tearful farewells and then decides to stay as if nothing had happened in that farewell game. The underlined part just isn't truthful enough. Sure, when you present your case like this, it seems odd or even stupid. But again, it isn't like this. We all know he wanted to part ways in mid season, Galliani stopped him. He said farewell infront of the Milan tifosis and they shouted "stay"; then Galliani also tried and maybe persuaded him. What's the problem then? let's say I don't want their judgments. my own Inter/Juve friends above all. we've already heard enough retirement home jokes and such. Why should you care about anyone's judgments, let alone fans of Inter and Juventus - clubs that can be mocked by so many more reasons then Milan? If I was to follow your logic, I'd have to drop all of my beliefs and convictions in order not to be mocked by MF members who are my friends! And finally, if Pippo stays and maybe scores another goal somehow and somewhere for Milan, it's worth every joke, rude word or mockery all year long. At least that's how I see it.

I think it's ridiculous that these guys who said that they were leaving a few weeks ago are now doing a 180 and staying. Especially after all the hoopla in the Novara game. It's just plain emberassing, especially for the club since being this desperate to hold on to the likes of Seedorf and Pippo just shows the type of financial situation we're in
As for selling Ibra, it's another desperate act. Ibra is basically the only reason we managed to remain competitive throughout the entire season. He's a leader and if we lose him or Silva then expect us to go through the same situation we went through after Sheva left. We won't be competitive in the league and we'll once again get humiliated in Europe on a regular basis.
The club clearly has no intention of investing any money into this team. I'd rather keep the core of good player that we currently have.

I don't see how Pippo staying is related to money problems. He is and would stay a bonus. And who said it's final and they've decided to stay anyway?

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jun 3 2012, 09:32 AM) I don't see how Pippo staying is related to money problems. He is and would stay a bonus. And who said it's final and they've decided to stay anyway? Pippo is not that much of a big deal, as he'd occupy the role he has for these last 2 seasons. Seedorf is the main problem. Even so, you don't say you're leaving, write a heart felt letter to the fans, make a big fuss in your last game and than change your mind. QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Jun 3 2012, 10:29 AM) What money? I said that if they don't plan on spending any money on strengthening the team, than our core group should be changed.

Well seing as Paul Scholes did it and there was no big fuss post the first couple of weeks, I don't think it will be a huge issue. But no, I wouldn't want him back.
I have no problem with them staying in the club in some other position (if dressing room unrest is what concerns the management),but perhaps it is best those players leave.

But Scholes plays for United, where the fans even dare to respect Giggs. That's the biggest difference.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 3 2012, 06:05 PM) Yeah, probably because they don't have their squad filled with +35-year-olds. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Yes, contrary to Milan. But wait... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
