Mediaset reporting a lot of things. First, the signing of Acerbi seems a done deal, thanks to Genoa's help. In case we decide to sell Silva (both City and Barça have offered about €40 million for him), we'll go after Ogbonna.
Aquilani is likely to stay. He's willing to reduce his wages from €4 million a season to €8 million for four seasons. Also, Liverpool might reduce their economical requests for him.
We're after Sedan's 18 years old winger, Yanis Bahloul, who didn't renew his contract with them and would come for free. He's considered a huge prospect in France.
Finally, Nesta and Gattuso might re-think their decisions and extend with us for another year, considering they're having difficulties signing with New York Red Bulls and Glasgow Rangers, respectively.

I'm really worried about all these Silva rumors. I don't want to lose him, regardless of the offers. He's the strongest CB in the world at the moment, and one of the key people we should build the new Milan around of.
And I don't think Nesta and Gattuso will come back.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 22 2012, 02:27 PM) Finally, Nesta and Gattuso might re-think their decisions and extend with us for another year, considering they're having difficulties signing with New York Red Bulls and Glasgow Rangers, respectively. Rangers won't sign anyone; first off we have a transfer embargo - we lost the appeal against that, but may take it to CAS, but even if we win it, I cannot see us even paying Rino a quarter of his Milan wages. We're utterly skint, and right now while we may have a new owner group in place soon, we will be living within our means. And without European football (we won't be in Europe next year due to being in administration) there's no pot of cash to gain. So, long story short, Gattuso isn't joining Rangers. Agreed on Silva - he's the best defender in Serie A, and a serious contender for best in the world - but if City or Barca offer a shitload of cash, I would be incredulous if we turned it down. That said, with Berlu back, maybe we can afford to.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 22 2012, 03:33 PM) What's his performance in the truth market like these days? I remember he used to be a barefaced liar, saying things like we were finished in the window then 2 days later signing Ronaldinho. He used to be prone to a porkie - what's he like in recent history? I've not paid so much attention. As for Ibra, I know Mancini has distanced himself from the reports linking City to Ibra, and truth be told I don't really think City need another striker. They have Aguero, Balotelli, Tevez - the latter may leave, but he is looking closer to staying as well.

When we're about to sell a star player it's usually done first thing as soon as the season ends. Just like with Sheva and Kaka. Selling off your biggest players is not something to be taken lightly, and I do believe that had we had any intention of cashing in on Silva, then we would have been hearing a lot about this for months now. Another point to make, is that we usually don't sell these players until we've gotten the best out of them, as Filippo pointed out in another thread. Barca have always been interested, but I don't think they'll be splashing all that cash. As for City, I don't think it has anything to do with Ibra or Silva. I can't see Silva going to England, that's the first point, and imo, whatever is going on between Galliani and City, I'm more inclined to believe that it has something to do with Tevez, and no one else And finally, I don't think Silva wants to leave atm. He had an opportunity to go to Barca last summer, he didn't go, and his agent just said he did not want to leave. And I personally beleive that

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 22 2012, 06:21 PM) Mancini: "Galliani called me, they're not selling anyone". Silva agent: "He wants to stay at Milan, there's been no contacts with Barça and City". (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This says nothing to me. Not selling anyone? That's just playing hardball, not looking eager to sell players. Even if it's true no contact now, it's still very early.

He can always be shot with a, um, drug injection that puts Galliani to sleep for a few days. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Much less violent, and I'd be okay with that. I mean, that's basically all our defense going down the drain, losing Nesta and Silva in one season. Mexes, as good as he is, isn't nearly as reliable. Never will be probably.
