And again, 2 German clubs go trough, while the Italian teams watch. Udine had more then 80 minutes an extra player, yet they managed not to score but conceded and got eliminated.

Too bad the system allows them to steal a CL position in this manner...

QUOTE (han2503 @ Mar 15 2012, 11:21 PM) Yeah, they do well in the forgotten cup. Too bad the system allows them to steal a CL position in this manner... Naah, that really isn't the problem. If you ask me, one should always clean up his own mess first - and the manner Italian clubs threat the EL is the real mess.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 16 2012, 04:13 AM) EL is not a waste. Tonight was a very exciting night with lots of interesting games. You could say it's a waste for any big club with CL aspirations that stumbles into (i.e. ManU), but all the other clubs that participate honor it till the very end. +1. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If I may take the liberty to say this, the last few seasons, Europa League matches take the cake to the matches in the Champions League, for entertainment, quality of football, and pure shock value. You can say CL is the more prestigious of the two, and I'll agree, but I'll watch an exciting EL match over a boring CL one ten times out of ten.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Mar 15 2012, 11:56 PM) EL is a waste of time and should not effect the CL You're wrong. I'm seeing German clubs ripping off for participating, taking their best teams for the competition and wanting the final badly. I'm seeing the same with all those other teams, except with the Italian teams and maybe the French. Once teams like Parma, Lazio, Fiorentina or even Inter would go in with the same fierce and heart, but not today, not nowadays. And that's the core of the problem.

EL is a lot better in all honesty, wish UEFA didn't decide to put games on at 5:30pm though.
