The season before that he was top scorer in Serie A for Milan's bitter city rivals Inter Milan. And both Ibrahimovic and his agent Mino Raiola pointed the finger at Barca coach Pep Guardiola to explain the Swede's short stay in Catalonia. "I didn't think things were so bad with the philosopher (Guardiola)," said Ibrahimovic. Raiola added: "The idea (for this transfer) came from Guardiola, it became clear that the club wasn't able to resolve the problem that only Guardiola knew about." Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, who spent four days in Barcelona to seal the deal, said of the attack: "It's an attack with a lot of fizz, I'd compare it to champagne. "He's a very important player, I think he'll gel perfectly with Pato and Ronaldinho. "Now on a technical level we're amongst the best teams in the world and we'll return to our natural position as a team competing at the highest level."
