So many England-whiners on twitter and various forums before the game saying their players are so much better than ours. A reason they're above us in the rankings.

Easy. Really easy. Should've been 3/4-0 as well.

I just think there's too many teams overall, lack of quality will be bad.

Hmh. I'm not sure. Does quality really depend on the number of teams involved in a tournament? Because I know numerous World Cups that were full of quality and great matches, while many Euro-tournaments with less teams and more quality on paper lacked the same.

I generally find Euros much better than WCs personally.

I agree. The old formula of 16 teams/4 groups worked fine. Platini and his usual BS...

Switzerland are far too high in the rankings, they're never a top 30 team never mind a top 10 team, but that said they have better players than England.

Behrami, Inler, Xhaka, Shaqiri, Seferovic, Mehmedi and Lichsteiner are very, VERY good players while the only players in England's team I genuinely rate are Sturridge and Sterling, one of whom wasn't playing. Rooney is ghastly these days, while Welbeck admittedly saves his best form for his country - 10 in 28 isn't TOO bad a goalscoring return at that level.

But it was a good win for England, going to Basel and getting the 3 points is impressive.

Last 3 world cups have been nothing short of abysmal. The group stage this time was lively in places but from last 16 onwards it was utterly dreadful.

Euro 2020 cities

FINAL AND SEMI-FINALS
Wembley Stadium, England

THREE GROUP GAMES AND ONE QUARTER-FINAL
Baku, Azerbaijan
Munich, Germany
Rome, Italy
St Petersburg, Russia

THREE GROUP GAMES AND ONE LAST 16 MATCH
Dublin, Republic of Ireland
Glasgow, Scotland
Copenhagen, Denmark
Bucharest, Romania
Amsterdam, Holland
Bilbao, Spain
Budapest, Hungary
Brussels, Belgium

I'm pleased that we've got the Final, but not having a single group game is a bit ****. I'm hoping that UEFA won't give other nations home games in the groups to make it fair!

Casillas needs to retire. He's been awful in 90% of his games over the past 3 years. Had about 3 good games in the CL and still nearly managed to cost Madrid the final.

LOL. De Bosque should have resigned after the WC.

He's got Hodgson-itis.

Two old farts who have a comfy cushy well-paid job controlled by their FAs.

Whereas Prandelli did the right thing pronto.

Actually, I found it quite brave from both Hodgson and Del Bosque to stay on board. Showing they're confident they can do better with the team and correct the mistakes they've made. Especially Del Bosque who's won everything with them.
