Portugal's recurring lack of a quality striker is comic. Nuño Gomes, Pauleta, Hugo Almeida, Postiga etc. All mediocre players. Thank god they have Ronaldo.

Not to take anything away from Ronaldo's brilliance, but Sweden just abandoned the defense. it's not that hard for a player of Ronaldo's caliber to score left and right when given that much space. all his goals were one on ones on counter attacks.

Germany arguably have the best squad in World football. I think their only downfall is their first XI doesn't have the same quality as the very top teams.
