And that's why I've had a hard time REALLY liking any Milan striker since. Nobody's measured up.
Sure, I like Pippo and Pato and Shevchenko was great in his day, but...IMO not even at their best could they match something like this. |

True enough, zeddie, but at this point in time Pato is a striker I like but who to me hasn't yet measured up to Van Basten.

Talking of Bergkamp, he's one retired player who's still got THE touch.
Bergkamp vs. some old boys team But when it comes to goals in competitive matches, I think Van Persie's aerial volley against Charlton gets a lot less attention than it deserves... ... because I don't think this should even be physically possible |
