Thing is, Danny, a sub-par Nesta is still probably one of the top 3 CBs in the league and one of the top 10 in Europe.

This is what our captain did last night while the guy with the armband has another mediocre game. He did make two mistakes but that's normal when he's playing for three...
I think the penalty decision was right. If you look carefully at 1:11 you can see that Burdisso gets Nesta's legs first and the ball second... that's a penalty. The ref's performance overall was terrible though, Ambrosini should not have been shown a second yellow (or was it a straight red?), Menez should have had a penalty and some fouls were easily given for both sides. |
