Galliani confessed that our young youth players have chances to play for Milan again...Players like Abate, Paloschi, Albertazzi...He confessed that Milan can't compete against teams like Real Madrid and should focus on the players they have...He said Albertazzi would get into the first team..He believed he's matured enough...Plus we'll still get a striker and a defender as promised...In the past, Milan has missed a lot of good young players but he hopes to find players still capable and proud to play for Milan..Something like that...I don't speak Italian but that's what I gat so far...Tennie I need ur help here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I'm glad he suddenly realises bout the sudden focus on young players

+1 cookie to kenny. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/96.gif) I was just about to post a translation of that article but you beat me to it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) You got the salient points. The bit about Madrid was about earnings/taxes, as the clubs in Spain have a tax break and those in Italy don't.

I was hoping that maybe one or two of the kids on loan would return but now he's talking about 3? Gosh. And Albertazzi is just 17 but has been good in the NT youth games I've seen him for and is very highly rated by observers in Italy.

I just came to post/translate this news too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I am really satisfied. If Di Gennaro, Abate and Palo come back + Albertazzi,+2 new signings(Striker and Defender) and + Nesta Back, i think we will be ready for a new season.

and if Yoann also comes back, it would be really awesome

------------------------------------------Abbiati(Dida)-----------------------------------

Zambro(mattioni)-------Thiago Silva(Bonera)-------Nesta(new signing)--Janku(Zambro)

------------------Gattuso(Abate)--------Pirlo(Flamini)----------Ambro(Gourcuff)

---------------------------------------Kaka (r80,Di Gennaro)---------------------------------

--------------------Pato(Palo)----------------------------New Signing(Borriello)

I think we are pretty much covered

I always thought it was a mistake letting Lino Marzoratti go. He was pretty solid with U21/23 Italy squad and had a good few seasons with his loan clubs. Plus he had a great debut all those years ago against Palermo.

When Maldini retires and Favalli aka no1 CB leave, they need to be replaced by our Primavera players, most notably Darmian and possibly Albertazzi. We cant afford to buy players so lets use our youth players. Inter gambled with Santon, and look how that turned out.

Agreed, but there arent any top class CB available, which is why we need to rely on our homegrown players for the mean time. That said if Roma fail to qualify for the CL, would that make Mexes available?

I think it was the right choice to loan out Paloschi. Whats the point of him sitting on our bench when he can play regularly at a team like Parma who are good at developing young players.

EXACLY!!!!!!!
People seem to think that the Milan Bench is great training grounds for the youth players!!

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Apr 3 2009, 08:02 PM) *
Hes a good player. +1

I doubt he's better than Adebayor though.

ADE=most overrated Striker in modern time IMO, Ba is a finisher, not a "third time's the charm" striker.

QUOTE (dst @ Apr 4 2009, 04:29 AM) *
How is he any good if he's not better than Adebayor?

LoL!!! +1

I would put flamini at Ambro's spot, and let Di genaro develop at reggina and only focus on signing a WC RB/LB

Mexes would be less good then nesta/silva IMO and we got Bonera/favalinho as suitible backups

I couldn't help but notice the choice of words here. Not something like "revealed" or "announced," but "confessed."

You'd almost think it was reluctance on Galliani's part to start bringing the younger guys back into the fold, but maybe it's just me.

At last the possibilty of our youth getting a chance! the likes of Darmain, Strausser and Paloschi are good enough i think and Abate is already playing 1st team Serie A football. whatever the reason financial or other wise i don't care i want to see youth getting a chance they are raised the Milan way and know what is expected of them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'm guessing it would be 2 top players plus the return of the youth. How were going to fund those top players is beyond me. I'm guessing emerson is going to be sold.

Emerson should be cuz he's really useless to this team...Really..He is Cigarini emerson switch...Plus, people were saying who will buy dida, kalac..I remember a certain Lehmann was bought by stuggart from Arsenal at bout age 38 or 39...so Kalac if not dida shud be sold...I'm really waiting for next season to come..Really anxious to see what happens cuz Milan n its directors are really tricky...

True enough but I doubt we'll spend that much man to be honest with you. Unless Galliani is lying I think we'll only buy 2 big players and we'll return the youth. We'll sell off emerson and release sheva senderos. Maldini will retire. Favalli will probably stay another year.
