for Cb theres so many names out there, i dunno where to start. imo he doesnt have to be world class but someone who's fairly young and will be here for years to come. If we could get any fullback it would de silvestri and marcelo on the left, neither are that great defensively but our fullbacks have always been very attack minded. For midfield my dream would be fabregas but i dont think that would happen (hamsik would be ideal and i think he would integrate well, or a montolivo), up front a no.9 would be great so huntelaar was my pick until he went to real now he's tainted so a villa would be my dream altough my imo he's isnt unattainable but the best solution would be a giuseppe rossi (although he isnt a no.9 but rather a no.10)

So Gourcuff is better then any of our midfielders, Eto'o cannot be compared to any of our strikers,..interesting and tempting. Also, Mourinho is better then any coach we had in recent time, or even considered. Am I a fool?

where have i said gourcuff was better than our midfielders? The mourinho statement makes no sense and yes eto is much better than any of our strikers. Yes i'm interested to know why you dont think eto could help us out.

Report: Milan Challenge Spanish Giants For Neymar And Keirrison


According to reports in today’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport, Milan have stepped up their chase for Brazilian sensations Keirrison and Neymar and are ready to outbid Spanish sides Real Madrid and Barcelona to bring the duo to the San Siro.

Real are said to be chasing Santos' 17-year-old hitman Neymar, while Spanish sources have suggested that Barcelona have reached an initial agreement to sign Palmeiras 20-year-old ace Keirrison next summer.

However, Milan are closely monitoring both players through technical director Leonardo, who already pulled the strings back in 2007 when the Diavoli beat off the crème of European football to sign Alexandre Pato from Internacional.

Keirrison’s agent has stressed that his client would like to stay at Palmeiras until at least 2010, but would not turn down the opportunity to move to a big European club.

As for Neymar, his agent is Wagner Ribeiro, who already negotiated Kaka’s transfer to Milan in 2003.

But his rescission clause of €30 million could put off the Rossoneri, as vice-president Adriano Galliani has already warned that the current economic downturn will not allow them to splash out in the transfer market in the summer.

Frank Rijkaard Has Five Major Job Offers - Report


Frank Rijkaard has had offers from Manchester City, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Real Madrid to return to coaching next season and all have asked him to name his price, according to a report.

The Dutch coach's stock is still high after his success with Barcelona, despite not winning a trophy for the last two years of his time in charge at Camp Nou.

It is his style, tactics and manner that have attracted five of the continent's wealthiest clubs and some of the clubs involved have sent clear messages to their current trainers about the prospect.

Rijkaard left Barcelona last summer and was quick to turn down the chance to take over at Newcastle United, CSKA Moscow and even the Mexico national team, among others, Sport state.

Following a season moving between his home in
Holland, France and Catalunya, the former Netherlands coach is ready to return to work and is weighing up all the bids.

Manchester City's offer for him to replace the beleaguered Mark Hughes is the most attractive, according to Sport, given that Rijkaard would be given a blank chequebook for new players.

Chelsea is also another option and the Blues' interest in him has been well documented, while his agent, Perry Overeem, made no secret that it could well be something to consider.

"Rijkaard is a big fan of the Premier League and would be very interested in working with Chelsea, but it would depend on the conditions and the plans," he told Sky Sports News.

"He would want to have a long-term contract, not just one or two seasons."

There could also be bids from AC Milan and Bayern Munich and Rijkaard is known to be tempted by the Italian club, where he played for many seasons, but the paper insists that he has already ruled out joining Real Madrid.

Presumably these stories come from goal.com. Don't particularly think goal is reliable. At least the first one quotes a Corriere story - which doesn't help the reliability aspect of things. Corriere is a Rome-based paper and not particularly accurate with regard to Milan related stuff.

Ancelotti is supposed to meet with Galliani in the next couple of weeks to talk about the future, according to Gazzetta. The sticking point is how much will be available for the summer transfer market. If there won't be any big buys, Gazzetta thinks Ancelotti will decide to leave, with possible destinations including Chelsea and Real.

Shevchenko is reported in Gazzetta as saying that he's returning to London at the end of the season.

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that he is delighted that he opted to stay with Premier League club Arsenal last summer.

The Togo international forward was thought to be a €26.8 million (£25m) transfer target for Serie A giants Milan.

However, the 25-year-old former Metz and Monaco star says he was correct in deciding to remain with the Gunners, and hopes to enjoy a long a successful career with them.

"I'm very happy. I never regret anything," Adebayor is quoted as saying by The Sun.

"At the moment it is very difficult for the club because we haven't won a lot of games in the league but I'm still happy to be at Arsenal.

"It's my desire, it's what I show everyone and it's what I tell everyone. I want to stay at Arsenal."

The north London club are currently fourth in the Premier League, ten points behind leaders Manchester United.

Although they appear to be out of the title race this season, Adebayor believes that once everybody is fit and raring to go, Arsenal will challenge for top honours once more.

"Most of our players have been injured. We've missed Eduardo for several months, Tomas Rosicky for about a year, Theo Walcott for three or four months, Cesc Fabregas for almost six months and I've also been injured for two or three weeks.

"I think if Manchester United had to do without Ronaldo, Rooney, Giggs, Berbatov and Nani, they wouldn't have the same team as they have now. They wouldn't be winning every game.

"When we get those players back, we'll have a chance of winning something."

For 6 more we could have signed a useful player. Only 6 more sigh....
