I also would pick Rino Gattuso before anyone else except Pirlo. He doesn't have the technical skills but he's got such heart and such passion that if he were healthy I feel it would be foolish not to play him.

Right now pirlo is 29, gattuso is 30. Seedorf is 32. How many years do you think they can keep on playing every game? Just letting go of gourcuff for 15 million is a joke. If this deal goes through we will become a laughing stock when he is sold to a bigger club for 2 or 3x that amount.

Also regarding rotation, we have very little rotation in our squad; we see the same players every week with maybe 1 change in the Treq/Striker at most (if there are no injuries). The no rotation policy works only if we have a solid and fit starting line up who are able to dish it out every week. In other words players in the peak of their prime; A good example is Barcelona, whose players are able to play at the highest level every week. We dont have players like that, which is why they get injured from overuse because our coach doesn't believe that his philosophy should change and adapt to modern football.

Ancelotti is number one on Florentino Perez's list if he comes to power, and there is €300 million to spend to create a dream team...

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti will be on his way to Real Madrid next season after meeting Florentino Perez and agreeing a deal, according to reports.

Tuttosport claims the two men met in Geneva last week at the Floortwo Grill restaurant in the Grand Hotel Kempinski. Apart from the menu, Real Madrid presidential candidate Perez tabled an offer for next season to the Italian.

Reports suggest the Spaniard is offering Ancelotti a three-year deal worth a whopping €5 million per season in order to take the club back to the pinnacle of European football.

In addition, voices surrounding Perez suggest he has put aside a mega €300m to spend on transfers. The chief wants to recreate the Galacticos era at the Bernabeu with Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard and Karim Benzema on the hitlist.

The presidential elections could take place in May according to reports, which would see Perez in power for the transfer window if he is elected.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) whether we bring in gourcuff, gourcuffio or hamsik i think everyone wants a change. and gourcuff is a natural option since he is still our property.

whether he can truly play seedorfs position isnt that important, because he brings a different dimension. and who said we really need to have the "seedorf" position? do systems really have to be that stringent?

we have too many slow playmakers that try to make these killer passes from center field, which has rendered us somewhat predictable and lame.

Why say no to gourcuff? With all these rumors going on it seems that carlo's departure is becoming more of a reality so why not give him a chance under a new coach with a new system.



I just dont get what you mean by your comments. He is our property, we dont have to pay anything for him and he has proven he has what it takes to become as good as Kaka.

Going to respectfully disagree that Gourcuff has proven a thing other than that he's good in the French league. To be as good as Kaka? Nah. Definitely not that. Is he a good player in France? Sure. But that doesn't equate to being a star in Italy.

But I'm not going to get into further arguments about Gourcuff because I don't really see the point. Some of you think he's the next big thing; I don't see it at all.

FYI, the latest rumors on Mediaset have Ancelotti NOT going to Madrid.
