QUOTE (amancik @ Mar 7 2009, 10:04 AM) Guys aren't you tired of not finishing at least 2nd for the past 4 seasons? It's clear that we need to bring new and fresh talents. We can't hope to rely on Seedorf, Kaka', Ronaldinho & Pato to get the results for us. This is a team game. So the whole team must be competitive enough to challenge for Scudetto. My point is Gourcuff is owned by Milan. We don't need to pay anything to get him back. and he has got real talent. I mean what have we got to lose right?, cuz we ain't gonna buy anyone.
This is my summer ins and outs.
IN
Yoaan Gourcuff (return) Alberto Paloschi (return) Thiago Silva (confirmed)
OUT
Paolo Maldini Philippe Senderos Andriy Shevchenko Clarence Seedorf Tabare Viudez Giuseppe Favalli Emerson
I think this is all we need to do. So our next season main squad will be like this.
GK Abbiati Dida Kalac
D Antonini Bonera Darmian Mattioni Jankulovski Kaladze Nesta T. Silva Zambrotta
M Ambrosini Beckham Cardacio Flamini Gattuso Pirlo Gourcuff
F Borriello Inzaghi Paloschi Kaka' Ronaldinho Pato That mid-field won't last the whole season, I'm sorry. There's no way we can do it without Seedorf. On his day, only Pirlo (from our mid-fielders) can come close to Seedorf. And you do not drop players like that. I understand Seedorf usually comes up with a 6.5 - 7.5 performance most matches, but we know on his days can come up with a 10. So just coz that pisses us off, we're going to get a guy who can give us a steady 7.0-8.0 every match. Don't think so. The forward line...till I can get a guarantee on Borriello (actually see him play 10 games in a row), I want one more. I 'd prefer to keep Paloschi loaned out (so he plays with Parma in Serie A),and get in one more target man or a high workrate player.

Man, seriously, you have to start watching more Milan matches... unless you don't want to be disappointed.

F Borriello Inzaghi ****Paloschi Kaka' Ronaldinho Pato *It is true we own him but genius galliani put a buyout to the loan, so all lyon have to do is pay us 15Mil strait-up to keep him, which is VERY likely considering how he is la Ligue 1's #2 player At the moment to Benzema. **We NEED to keep Viudez IMHO, my good friend (and my team's primary striker) is Uruguayan and has made us watch the national team on many occasions. I went to see Viudez and my friend Giuseppe (palermo fan) went to see Cavani. Long story short Viudez is a non-stop little motor that is powerful, skillful and very intelligent on the pitch!!! he can develop on the team but i'd MUCH rather see him out on a loan to a Serie A bottom feeder (abate #2) ***We have interested buyers in a guy making Too much money for a backup. I hate writing this next bit because YES i am a dida fan, but in this recession we can't be allowed to hold on to past hero's as their pay checks drain the club. ****I think if boriello is healthy and we can make a run At Demba Ba from Hoffenheim (excellent aerial control, 6'3", high energy, should be very inexpensive) With Dinho/Pato used as SS or off-playing strikers with a reserve in Pippo, we can go places!!! This being said, i like what i see from Paloschi, i think one more year on loan will do him good as the new coach as been featuring him a lot. I think he needs one more year :S

I hate it when I feel the need to get on my soapbox, but I personally found the last bit rather hypocritical. Why is it just his name that regularly comes up in terms of this topic? Don't lump him with the Emersons and Favallis (who's about to get an extension himself) who've been here a short time and contributed little to the club as a whole. Plus, what about current underperformers like Seedorf and Kaladze, the former who plays only when he feels like it, and the latter who's been nothing short of disastrous and is out the rest of the season? They're among ten other Milanisti who make just as much or a little less than Dida does. Blame the management for giving Kalac an extension after his fifteen minutes last season, Berlu's sentimental reacquisition of a has-been Sheva, and our pointless signing of 34-year-old Beckham, who hasn't done much of anything with us. He's worked hard to shrug off his injury problems and has been in form during what precious playing time he's received, so it's not as if he's sat on his can and twiddled his thumbs this season. He deserves to see out his deal and thus finish his career with Milan before heading off into retirement. What interested buyers are you talking about, il_diavolo? As far as I know, there aren't any at this time.

Great post. it made me think twice about some things... -=-=-=- Anyone thinks of VdV as a target for us? he is a bench warmer at RM, a decent player, Dutch, Seedorf on the other hand usually underperforms, etc. If we're to lose Yoann, I think going for VdV would be a great move.

What interested buyers are you talking about, il_diavolo? As far as I know, there aren't any at this time. Do i agree that there are more deserving people to be shipped out, Absolutely!!!! But between you and me, if/when we make it to the champs league next year, outside of Coppa Italia, when will Dida see the field??? I love him and to this day he is one of the best, most accomplished keepers of our time! You wouldn't know it because i always seem to talk to people who are convinced Abbiati is a fluke...(for 27 games). Do i Think he's the future answer at GK, HELL NO! But i think we can't overlook his form and contributions, he has been up there IMO with Ceasar and Frey (obviously coming third the these mentioned players , but in the vicinity. Even if you did replace him? Would it be with a keeper that's turning 36 this year?? I want to keep him but the only way would be a re-structured contract, as he is getting world class dollar to watch from the sidelines. I COMPLETELY AGREE that he is not that high on the list of "must leave" but he is vastly overpaid for the sitting he is doing. The interested? lol it seems you were the one who said it was Newcastle while i thought it was Tottenham, regardless to what, if some rich premiership team sees him for the great goalie he is, and makes an offer, that would be a win-win-win situation. Outside of sentimental reasons, unless he restructures, with berlu's new wage cut proposal, i don't see him staying but i hope they hold a ceremony for him the day he leaves, i never want to forget him, nor make him regret his amazing stint at Milan. The same cannot be said for the Emersons of the team lol

Otherwise he is hurting the club more than doing good. Not just him, a lot of people in our club should be getting wage cuts..seedorf, emerson, flamini etc.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Mar 6 2009, 08:08 PM) Deco will be free to go this season. I think one of the tow Blues (Drogba&Deco) will end up in Milan, the other in Inter. Diego...I've kind of learned to dislike him at Bremen. He's very good, but there's something arrogant in him which defers from the typicall Milanista line Boban-Leonardo-Rui Costa-Kaka... Oh I love Deco as much as the next guy but he'd be a very short-term solution so I would look at other players first. I would not even think about it but I've grown too tired of Seedorf. I like Diego, I believe he'd fit into See's position. Then there's VdV who Zed suggested and I also like and there is Sneijder too. Then there's Modric but I can't see him moving this summer. Out of them all I think I'd rather have one of the two Dutchmen. I still believe Gourcuff can replace Seedorf effectively but the French will probably not come back. The thing is, if Ancelotti stays, we won't sign a player to take over from Seedorf so this is all pointless.
