Milan Must Show More Character - Arrigo Sacchi

Milan were humiliated by Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening in the Audi Cup, losing 4-1 to the Bavarians. The Rossoneri have endured a string of four consecutive defeats in pre-season and their former coach, Arrigo Sacchi, commented on their troubles.

"Thus far, we have seen the worst of Milan, due to a programme that was not suited to building up the team. I believe it will be difficult for them to buy players, the attack could remain as it is," he explained to Radio Radio TV.

"The problem is not Pato, but that the club is constricted by the long contracts of some players."

Nonetheless, 63-year-old Sacchi insists all is not lost for the Serie A giants.

Sacchi had plenty of success coaching Milan from 1987-1991, winning the Serie A title and two European Cups.

Adriano Galliani Constructing Bid To Buy AC Milan - Report

As the Silvio Berlusconi's Milan continue to struggle for funds amidst the current financial crisis, it seems work is currently underway for Adriano Galliani to mount a takeover bid.

The Rossoneri’s lack of action on the transfer market has caused obvious unrest amongst the fans, who have seen their side begin the pre-season with a run of four consecutive defeats.

I want him to stay too but I highly doubt he will. I think as soon as we officially sign a player he will be sold. Right now is not very tactful to sell him. The fans will burn milan down.

But I think the deal with chelsea is already done if i'm honest with you. Just lacks an official.
