Attack: Pato, Santa Cruz, Borriello, Pippo/Sheva Mids: Kaka, Gourcuff, Pirlo, Flattuso, Gattuso, Seedorf, Ambro, Abate (last resort DM), Cigarini (Pirlo heir) Def: Thiago, Agger/Santa/Canini, Bonera, Kaladze, Zambro, Antonini, Janku, Darmian, Favalli, (nesta??) GK: Abiatti, Whoever. it's time for change. out with the old (experience) and stale. in with the young, hungry, and motivated. Everyone here knows what my position on the team has been for the last year and a half. I also know that there are quite a few board members here who I respect, and so i refrained from beating the dead horse, Zeddie and Acid have done the job of voicing my opinion for me. If this isn't a hint that there needs to be a new milan generation, i don't know what is. with that said, this may surprise some. lets keep carlo, and see what he does with youthful players. he'll have NO excuses. Hm. He's pretty enough for Milan....honestly hadn't considered him.
I'm still thinking about who I'd prefer in defense. Chiellini would be great but that's in no way realistic. The club definitely needs quality defenders, though. Agree with vnata about Ronaldinho out and Abate in. Abate has done very well indeed with Toro and has really blossomed as a player. I think perhaps Young Alberto should stay on loan one more year at Parma for seasoning. Perhaps an extension of the loan (and NOT a sale; I do want to see Paloschi back at the club) could involve the acquisition of Cigarini, who I rather like. While I'd certainly not complain about Adler coming to Milan, an even more long term solution would be the kid from Samp, Fiorillo. |

He was keeper for the U19s during the Euro U19 championship last summer and was named best keeper of the tournament. Mediaset calls him 'the number 1 of the future'. He's a tall kid too - well over 6 feet. |

For me a change of coach is first and foremost. Second I agree with the sale of ronaldinho. Barca were correct to sell him. He's past his best. Third, we need to free up some of our wage bill by either signing new contracts or selling players. Some people just simply earn way too much and do absolutely nothing. |

I like vnata's list. Though I think we need one top class CB. I don't trust young Italian CBs after the Barzagli fiasco.
I'd also put in one of Gonzales, Moutinho, Veloso. Oh..and Zigic owns Santa Cruz. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I need to find me a Zigic sig... I don't think Ronaldinho is past his best. I also think signing new contracts would be more trouble than it's worth. @Bluey: You can't tear up a contract at will. Either both parties agree to rescind, or you pay the remainder of the existing contract before making a new one. The former option usually happens in football only if we're talking higher wages. |
