whether he goes or not this shows one thing to me that football is turning into a farce...i can't comment on Kaka's professionalism but he does seem to be a decent guy and tries when he plays for us, he if goes then so be it i would be gutted of course but in todays f.ucked up football world nothing surprises me anymore and my disdain for the mercenaries grows by the day

If there's to be no bashing for Kaka, there should also be no bashing for the club.

I'm pretty sure I was talking in the sense of if he went to Man City (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I respected Kaka, quite frankly I think he's going and my love for football is too, this is no longer a game it's just a business. I've thought that for a while but if this deal does go through it just proves it completely.

Gee, this is going to be a classic thread, one way or another. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

And I agree with Ash, it's no longer a game now. I used to love cricket, but once the money came in with ICL and IPL, it's not the same anymore. I dread to think this one's going the same route. It'll be a spectacle, not a game. And to think I reckoned this all as fun and games, this City + Kaka business. Oh, my!

Yeah, I'm venting my anger at Man City more than anything. I mean when Chelsea did it, it was annoying but they didn't go and spend £90m on Zidane, £70m on Figo, £70m on Henry etc.

This really needs UEFA/FIFA to step in now. I mean yes teams like Madrid and United have had money in the past but not to this degree. Before you know it the whole world's XI will be at Man City...

Here is a synthesis (in italian) of Zvonimir Boban's statements tonight to Sky Italia. Note that Boban does commentary for Sky for some Serie A games (think he does a super job). Am still at work and without time to translate it just now; will do so later if people wish.

QUOTE

Kakà case, the open letter of a fan

We publish the letter received from a fan of Milan on the transfer of Kakà to Manchester City

To the Director Michele Criscitiello.

On behalf of the people of Milan, we have expertise in setting up a anti-divestment petition of Kakà.
http://firmiamo.it/kaka

Typhoid rossonero announced to be scorned, Schifano from the mere fact that the company might well have thought only to accept the offer, when the President has always said that we are a company other than others,
that we do not sell our stars. And now you're sbugiardando alone.

If the Milan actually sell his own volition Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite, typhoid and organized all the people
rossonero will create the largest event that the Swiss has never concert.

We are not a poor team, our president is the 50th richest man in the world, because it is considering
this assignment when the player wants to stay?

I am ashamed that we even have thought of selling a jewel like him, a pearl that we have grown x years. A player that wanted to become a flag.

Zvonimir Boban, interviewed by Sky, spoke of the case Kakà: these extracts of his speech.

"For a year now Kakà has left little doubt to his stay in rossonero, but I did not think that Milan let him go even before an offer is so important" "We should know precisely who has suffered the most fascinating of this offer If Kakà or society in any case I feel a sharp downward revision of Milan in the world of football. "

'It is a great disappointment, the money always wins as Gianni Rivera said. It' was a fantastic story but seems to have cracked a while 'everything is not really beautiful. I would have liked the Milan refused as did Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo. Now you can find another Kakà? " "I think for the money Kakà is true, as it should be for everyone. We were never stopped in his desire to stay at Milan and was attached to the money if you do not want to go, no one will force you ever . It would be enough to say "I do not care," but if it was not to say that the money count too much for him. " "It would be fair to hear statements from the Milan and Kakà same time, since the point at which we arrived. Personally, with all due respect to the City, I can not still believe that ends there."

Damn, this reminded me of that letter the fans wrote in 2006 for Sheva, begging him to stay. history's repeating itself.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
