QUOTE (dst @ Jan 17 2009, 09:20 PM) I don't get either of you. What does Milan still stands mean? Milan will always stand even if they kicked out Maldini. That's not what's at stake here... the thing is, we're turning into what we have been laughing at, take a step back and see it at last! And it's not about Kaka. Whoever was in his place and was just sold for the "right price" as it seems to be would get the same treatment from the fans. Of course Milan is bigger than any individual but Milan is after all a team and she consists of players. As of yesterday we were proud of how they treated them but suddenly it does not matter anymore because Milan will still exist tomorrow, right? No one said Milan would be destroyed if Kaka left. With the money that will come this way a team much stronger and more successful can be built. But I did not know we were here only to celebrate Milan's victories. I thought a fan loves his club for what it is and represents not for its victories... QUOTE (dst @ Jan 17 2009, 09:46 PM) Because until now, even with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Beckham Milan still was the team that stood by its players more than any other. Until now Milan was the team that waited for Pippo to return, that stayed alongside Ambro despite all his injuries, that tried hard to convince Gattuso to stay when everyone was saying he was finished, that despite their age still renewed Maldini's, Costacurta's, Favalli's contract. Until now even with those players you mentioned the fans were still proud of these things that made Milan special... I fail to see what's so special about Milan right now. +1 trillion!! Very very very very very very very very well put! The nightmare started with buying some old has-been only to sell jerseys and pour money into their pockets, continues with selling Kaka, and will probably end with signing Beckham on a permanent basis (I wonder if we're doing this to Kaka so we can meet Beckhams buy out clause (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) If we sign Beckham permanently, it'd be more than obvious that people in charge of Milan have lost their minds.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jan 17 2009, 11:00 AM) But wait a second. We still have all that - we still wait for Pippo, we still wait for Ambro and Rino, still have Favalli around...all that.
1. Milan still standing
Why I said Milan is still standing? Because this place turned in the last 24 hours into Kakafan, and I think it's premature. I'm the kind off guy that wait's till the official site announces "AC Milan pushed out Kaka". Up till now we: 1) don't know what's going on at Milanello 2) We're even not sure if Kaka will leave (but okay, pretty much sure) - that said, I don't feel like screaming **** you to Berlusconi yet! Can you understand that?
Other then state "I'm not satisfied with the Kaka transfer" I don't see any alternative. As I said before, I don't feel the need to torture people with hysteric posts "how everything stopped".
2. MF or KF?
I hate the hypocricy and double-morale of this place here. I read day after day posts like "release Maldini", "**** off Favalli" and "***** Emerson". Okay, they (F+E) are not so important or good, but isn't it two-faced to call Milan to release players you don't care about, but as soon as your favorite golden boy is touched you turn the other side and say "Milan is ****, does ***** ******* B&G". I simply cannot digest this that easy. I know Kaka is more valuable then the rest, but still I cannot accept it with ease.
3. The board made mistakes.
Milan rightnow has many problems - first of all they're a team without a pilot. Berlusconi is too old, and I knew his victory in Italian elections wouldn't help either. Galliani, he functionated properly till the day Berlusconi lost control over him. After that, he proved to be human - made good and bad decisions. Our transfer policy is not really a policy - we have no course set - and this is because we tried to be different the other clubs. Sadly, I think we failed. Sadly. A solution will be, when a new board emerges.
In my understanding, Berlusconi has done enough for Milan to be respected and defended by me to the last breath!
4. The circus.
I cannot agree with that statement, but I can understand. I don't like Beck's either, I'm not that of a Dinho fan. I can understand that it's frightening imagine Milan's near future without Maldini and Kaka. But it's reality. What can we do? We can stop support Milan or digest it. The worst solution is to maintain cheer for Milan but hate almost everything around it - Ancelotti, 50% of the players, the board - and share that hate.
5. Stop watching football.
Is football dead? No. Is football dying? Yes. And it's normal. Football reached decadent highs long time ago. It's not just about the money. It's more then that. I know I'm being repetitive and sorry for quoting the entire post, but this is the best post I've read anywhere on the issue so far.

QUOTE (Rivaldo @ Jan 16 2009, 07:38 PM) Kaka was crying today at second training og the day....He won't go away, but Milan may sell him.....his father tells him to go to MC...Kaka had a row with father... he was crying??? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) oh damn... QUOTE (I_Rossoneri @ Jan 17 2009, 07:04 AM) LOL to all these who keep saying Ricky wants all the money (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Blog: Kaka's curseIf Kaka signs for Manchester City, it will be a disaster for all concerned and for football as a whole. Not only will it make nouveau riche sides with bored rich owners think they can just come and buy up stars as if they were browsing the Louvre for something to hang in the hallway, but it would also cut 99 per cent of clubs out of the future transfer market. Paying anyone that sum of money is ludicrous, but City aren’t the real targets of my rage today. I am looking straight at Milan. ... Of course, Kaka doesn’t have to accept this step down – way down – in his career, but the way Milan have gone about this means the end is nigh. If he remains, then he will be fully aware the club no longer wants him despite his proven talent, work rate and loyalty. So come the summer when Real Madrid and Chelsea come knocking again, this time he’ll do what these sides always wanted and push the move through, presumably at a far lower price than Manchester City are currently offering. And, frankly, Milan will deserve it. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_ita...blogs/sc52.htmlQUOTE (acid911 @ Jan 17 2009, 12:09 PM) Fans and press said we sold our soul when Beckham came here. I want to say something...AGAIN!!!
If you keep track of Kaka's actions, when AC Milan played Manchester City last year, Kaka said that he loved the atmosphere there, etc, etc, etc.
Did you here Pato, Pirlo, Gattuso, anybody besides Kaka say that? He was already calling for this!!!
What were the reasons behind this?
When Real Madrid tried to catch him he didn't say NO right away. We was elusive and not clear in his answers. He said that Real Madrid would be a nice place to play. Well, I can buy that!!! Nobody can deny Real Madrid's history and trophies.
BUT MANCHESTER CITY?????
History? No CL at least till 2010-2011? Near relegation? Trophies?
I DON'T THINK SO...WHO THE ELL WANTS TO GO AND PLAY THERE UNLESS IT IS FOR MONEY.
Promises of a big project?
Have you ever heard Kaka saying with such a great interest that Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, or any other BIG team he has played against, is a great place to be besides Real Madrid.
MANCHESTER CITY????
I'm sad to say this but everything ends up in the same place: MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!!
It's such a BIG OFFER for AC Milan to refuse. This is a team but is also a business. The truth is that Kaka himself was calling for this since last year. He caught interest in a team with no history, a team that may become successful only because of money and not because of brotherhood, heart and dignity. An ARTIFICIAL TEAM WITH NO SOUL...
JUST BECAUSE MONEY CAUGHT HIS ATTENTION ... HONESTLY I REALLY THINK HE WAS GUILTY FOR THIS ... JUST AS SHEVA DID IT IN THE PAST. HE IS GIVING EMPTY ANSWERS AND COMMENTS.
The big question we need to ask ourselves is if there's another reason besides the money that made him want to go out. There must be something besides the money that made Sheva and now Kaka want to move.
Sheva proved he committed a mistake and now Kaka is willing to do it too.
Again, the main reason for Kaka to leave is money ... he goes to church but he's not a saint, he's a human being and got tempted.
Money, money, money!!!
IF KAKA DOESN'T WANT TO GO THERE WHY HE HASN'T COME OUT AND SAY : "I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE, I WANT TO STAY HERE i LOVE MILAN"
WHY THE HELL WE HAD TO TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE MEANS WHEN HE TALKS: SAY YES OR NO. IF YOU DON'T SAY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ITS BECAUSE THERE'S A YES.
YOU BELONG TO MONEY. IF HE JUST SAYS NO AND THAT'S IT WE WILL ALL KNOW THAT BERLUSCONI'S GREEDINESS IS SELLING HIM NOT BECAUSE HE WANTS TO GO.

ANOTHER THING AND I AM BEING STRAIGHT HONEST ABOUT THIS I SWEAR IT.
IF KAKA DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE BUT AC MILAN STILL DECIDES TO SELL HIM I WILL STOP BEING AN AC MILAN FAN FROM THAT DAY ON.
THE REASON FOR ME BEING AN AC MILAN FAN IS BECAUSE OF BARESI, VAN BASTEN, MALDINI, COSTACURTA. BEING A FAN OF TEAM THAT DOESN'T TREAT HIS PLAYERS AS A SWEATER BUT AS A SON. IF THAT CHANGES NOW, THEN I'M OUT BECAUSE IT WILL BE THE SAME AS BEING A FAN OF REAL MADRID, INTER, CHELSEA, ARSENAL, ETC. IT WILL BE AS IF YOU SAW THE MOTHER OF YOUR KIDS GIVING A BJ TO YOUR WORST ENEMY. I WILL TOTALLY STOP WANTING TO HAVE HER NEXT TO ME. IF MILAN WANTS TO SELL KAKA FOR THE MONEY EVEN THOUGH THE PLAYER WANTS TO STAY... THEN IT WILL BE A GREAT DECEPTION FOR ME.
BELIEVE ME ... I'LL STOP BEING A FAN OF THIS TEAM EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!
IF KAKA DOES WANTS TO GO AND HE'S JUST PRETENDING ... THEN I WILL STAY A MILAN FAN AND KAKA FOR ME IS GOING TO GO DIRECTLY INTO THE GARBAGE AND I WILL REMEMBER HIM WITH A BIG DOLLAR SIGN UNDER HIS JERSEY. WHY???? BECAUSE HE IS NOT GOING TO A GREAT TEAM ... HE IS GOING TO A CRAPPY TEAM THAT NOW HAS TONS OF MONEY!!!!!
HE WILL STOP BEING A GREAT PLAYER AND FUTURE LEGEND AND WILL TURN INTO A GOLD DIGGER BI@TCH THAT KNOWS HOW TO PLAY SOCCER.

I normally avoid goal.com because it's generally ridiculously unreliable. The article below, however, is surprisingly accurate. I've seen the quotes in Italian pieces. It's an interesting insight into what other Serie A coaches have said. QUOTE Serie A Coaches Give Take On Kaká Situation This afternoon a number of Serie A coaches gave their opinions on the mega offer for Milan star Kaká from Manchester City. » While Milan's fans are still divided on whether the club should accept the 120 million euro offer for Kaká, most Serie A coaches believe that the Rossoneri would be wise to let him go for that kind of money.
"Since I work in the Italian league I would have liked to see the best players stay," said Inter coach José Mourinho. "But it's Kaká's life, he's a Milan player and they have to decide."
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said: "It would be too bad for our league, and Milan would be a different team without Kaká, but it remains to be seen what players they will buy if he leaves. Here at Juve there have been similar cases with [Roberto] Baggio and [Zinedine] Zidane. [Milan coach Carlo] Ancelotti has shown before he is a master at handling those situations."
"It's a difficult offer to refuse," said Lazio coach Delio Rossi. "When a club gets an offer like that it should think more than twice. It's up to the player to decide now, because the club cannot turn down an offer like that."
Roma boss Luciano Spalletti also thinks the player's will is decisive: "It's a difficult situation, Milan are one of the richest clubs in the world, but I think that Kaká's will will be decisive. But there's another problem: if you decide to keep the player at that price, what do you tell the others? Will you start paying them more?"
Palermo coach Davide Ballardini blasted the immorality of today's football: "Money doesn't count, it's a life choice. Frankly I think it's an absurd figure. There is less and less morality in football these days, it's disappearing. It wouldn't be bad thing to have some shame. But if Milan were offered that amount, I think they should sell him, because with that money they could build an excellent team."
Catania's Walter Zenga kept it short and light, saying: "If a proposal like that came for one of my players, I would put him on my shoulders and bring him there myself. We are talking about embarassing figures, how can you comment on something like that?"
The debate is sure to continue among fans and players alike, and it will be interesting to see how they react in tonight's match between Milan and Fiorentina at San Siro.

Hughes - No quick Kaka deal City manager reveals no personal contact with Kaka and slams speculation
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has stressed that the potentially record-breaking Kaka deal will take time to be completed, if it does go through.
The Brazilian superstar is being linked with a £100million-plus transfer to the Eastlands club, but fans who expect to see Kaka arrive in Manchester over the next few days may well be disappointed.
"It's not going to be a deal that's done overnight," insisted Hughes to Sky Sports.
"It's not a case of just speaking to the club and speaking to the player and it's done in 48 hours, it's too complex and too large a deal to be able to do that in that short space of time.
"I'm sure it will take a lot longer than people anticipate it will, but we've shown our intent and we would like to bring him to the club if at all possible."
Long way to go Despite the solid interest, Hughes has also revealed that the club have not yet spoken to the player himself, and any speculation over personal terms is wide of the mark.
"We've got a long way to go, a lot of bridges to cross before we even get to talk to the boy himself in regard to his personal terms," he added.
"I've been disappointed in fairness with the reaction in some parts to the prospect of Kaka coming here, and some of the discussions in relation to his prospective personal deal has been totally out of order.
"We're nowhere near that stage of discussing his deal - if he does get one - so for people to speculate wildly is totally out of order."

I agree to with everything dst said. Yes, there can be HUGE benefits with this deal. And as a fanboy, now perhaps there is enough moolah for Carlo to actually get who he wants. BUT this is not done. I think it was aptly put by a fellow poster. This summer our heart retires. But this winter we've sold our soul. What is left? An entity? Another footballing organization, just like the other cash rich, trophy laden ones in the world? Why must someone support Milan now, other than force of habit? There are other clubs just like ours, who are winning and who have a history of winning. If this sale goes through, Milan will have to start from scratch. Competing with other clubs, in the only area left, trophies. It no longer matters about morality and 'family'. Everything has a price. Silvio's statement drove the nail. I understand his sentiments. Agents are like vultures, and I knew it would lead to a massive re-negotiation of contracts across the board. Soon Pato's agent will be knocking saying he wants a pay hike. I expect R80's brother to come down too. Perhaps even the multi-millionaire(before football) Pirlo will want a hike. Not because of the cash, but for the respect and equality. (Yes, it is the same reason for everyone else as well). Their logic will be the same as Adebayor's in the summer. If other clubs want me for so much, then you should value me more. But this is wrong. This is surely wrong. Nothing's the same anymore. Pana,Zeddie? What say you and me go and cheer our hearts out for Hull City and Bilbao? F@ck!
