Milan star Ronaldinho has been ruled out for tomorrow's match against Catania, along with Filippo Inzaghi, Andrea Pirlo, and Clarence Seedorf.

Luck continues to conspire against Milan, as they will have to do without superstar Ronaldinho for tomorrow's match against Catania. Other absences will be Andrea Pirlo, Filippo Inzaghi, Clarence Seedorf, Daniele Bonera, as well as long-term injuries Alessandro Nesta and Marco Borriello. Massimo Ambrosini and Daniele Bonera are also unavailable.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti had already mentioned the player was a doubt for this match, and in the final training session he pulled up with a muscle problem, removing all doubt.

This will no doubt be a blow for the Rossoneri, who need to bounce back from two costly defeats against Palermo in Serie A and Lazio in the Coppa Italia.

Ronaldinho has been one of Milan's best players lately, finding the net with ease, but Kaká has said that the team has nevertheless had some problems adjusting to his presence.

Perhaps last year's Ballon D'Or winner will be more comfortable now that his countryman is out, as Ancelotti has to re-think his tactics with so many players out.

The good news is that Alexandre Pato will be available for this one. The 19-year-old had been a doubt due to bruised ribs.

With Pippo, Pirlo, Borriello, Ronaldinho, Seedorf, Ambro and Boenra out, I don't feel confident at all tbh.


EDIT: Gee, so many injured players. I can see what our excuses will be if we don't win.

hey, hey, hey. first off we DO get pato back for this one. and borri, dinho, clarence are all out..yes...

BUT i'm gonna try and take a more optimistic look at things for a change. Kaka won't be "limited" like dst said..and up front we will see the phenom pato and the return to form of SHEVCHENKO. doesn't that have such an awesome ring to it?...THE RETURN TO FORM OF SHEVCHENKO. Naah, belive me, championships are not lost around December. I get what you mean - it would be very hard to even up a minus of 9 points. Still, have a little faith spared. Wonders happen. At Cagliari, Lecce or Atalanta every 10 years, at Milan a bit regularly.

I don't think we're going to win the title this year. Inter are too strong this year, while we are too inconsistent.

Can't see any other line-up than that above. Bench will be rather weak.


On a separate, but related note, I am starting to get concerned about our training and/or medical team. I know we're a very old squad, but the number of injuries we suffer is incredible. There are other similarly old players in other squads who do not suffer injuries as readily. I think it's time questions were asked about the training, and perhaps the medical management of the players when injuries do occur.

quite true i thought that milan medical facillity was the best but after r99 they haven been that impressive second thing is sometime it is the surface on whihc players play have some patches whihc can cause player injuries and mainly our player get injure in training rather than games it rarely happens and finally some times it is just bad luck
