No defenders?

Our team is in a emss. Carlo last week said our defense was poor, now our management is saying we won't bring one in? There is no consistancy between the people in our club. It really is just a big mess.

I think it's a long term gain decision. We probably won't get any good defenders for sale now. Only Senderos class or less. And I know of only Gallas who is 'gettable', but we'd have to pay through the nose. Alex is still non-EU and we know how much they asked for Ivanovic last time.

For loan? I honestly don't think the issue is filling it up with numbers...

Alex and Ivanovic are terrible anyways, in my opinion. Alex especially, is certainly what we do not need, nor want.

I'm still in the pro Serie A based and/or Italian defenders. They'll know the league better, plus it's the old 'big club tactic', just take the top players from the best of the rest and you'll never have to worry about finishing outside the top 4 again.

Without tapping up, it wouldn't be possible. And Milan are no longer poaching like they used to. I wonder if they've discovered a new altruistic mode within them. In any case Napoli are not truly a selling club, since that's where the best defenders are currently.

I don't understand Liverpool, Dossena has had a good season for them, but they keep dropping him. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

You should limit the beer consumption when watching football... he has been awful and I'm being lenient!

You must be watching different games to me then, I thin he's been superb in every game, but one, that I've seen him play. His bad performance was Hull.

Well I've been impressed, it's all opinion. Just like you think Gattuso is a useful player. And why would I over-rate a Liverpool player, of all people?

Liverpool 26 year old wingback Andrea Dossena's agent Roberto La Florio has declared: "I don't understand these romours about AC Milan; Andrea is fine at Liverpool and manager Benitez admires him. AC Milan, together with Juventus, were interested last summer, but finally Liverpool made the best offer to Udinese"

You are the one who does not like Gattuso when most people rate him highly and you're the one who thinks Dossena has been very good at Diverpool when most people think he's been mediocre. What I mean is... you tend to be biased against unclassy players that are popular (Gattuso, Mascherano) and also tend to defend other players when the world is against them... I'm not saying that's bad or anything, I'm just talking about how I get it... it's just that I did not expect anyone to say he's been impressed by Dossena at Liverpool, that's all (was not laughing at you, just seemed weird).
