I see where Fillipo is coming from. Cannavaro is starting to get criticised (and is looking quite poor) in Spain, yet when he comes back to play for La Nazionale, he's fine. They don't appreciate good defenders over there.
Nevertheless, Habitant is correct. Rebuilding does not involved signing a 37 year old who was dropped by his national coach mid way through a tournament. |

Serie A defenders can't succeed in such a fast-paced league. Cannavaro also has been pure shite most of times there. if you watch some Real Madrid games you will understand why they criticize him. it's not that they criticize defenders just for fun.

i don't like mexes..he is easily exposed in the air, and in europe. a good defender for the roma/fiorentina type.
i'm also going to be a little disappointed if thiago silva is our maldini replacement and miranda is our nesta replacement. Are the two best defender prospects in the world really BOTH from Brazil? and i hope we don't sign a "rino" replacement. we don't need another DM. unless its veloso, who can do more than just the rino role. |
