Are you serious? If hes gonna play players like emerson/brocchi when aubamayang can go on and eventually develop into a good player you think thats smart on his part? And who are you to say Aub cant develop into eto? I bet you said the same thing when kaka came here.

If he doesnt use the youth we should just forget about our youth system. Thats a waste of money afterall according to your theory.

personally I dont care who the coach is, if they ruin a player through purposely neglecting him, he will never have my respect. Thats why I dont have respect for carlo. Great tactian but at this point i would rather have gaurdiola than him. The way hes giving oppurtunity to the youth talent can prove benefitical techincally and financially to the club.

I think Rijkaard gave more opportunity than Pep. Bojan hasn't played half as much. Busquets perhaps a little more. But then there was the benefit of an injured Yaya and Iniesta.

Yeah but bojan still played overall way more than darmian viudez cardaccio etc you name it(ex pato) this season. The only reason pato plays so much is because we really have no choice. He doesn't play were screwed.

Did I say hi can't? As far as I know I said the exact opposite. Isn't it a...FACT?

Reports: Viola secure Ivanovic

Friday 30 January, 2009

It has been reported that Fiorentina and Chelsea have finally agreed terms for the transfer of defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serbian star has become frustrated by his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge.

Milan unsuccessfully pursued the 24-year-old last summer, but it now seems that Fiorentina have had more luck in negotiations.

According to Sky Sports, after weeks of painstaking talks, Ivanovic will finally become a Gigliati player.

Ivanovic is a non-EU player and so won't be available for Fiorentina initially, but he should arrive at the end of the season.

There are suggestions that Manuel Da Costa may move the other way once his loan spell at Sampdoria ends.

As yet, the details of the agreement between the two sides are unclear.

His lack of playing time at Chelsea should say something. No point in crying over him. He must not have been good enough for Chelsea so that means you thing he is good enough for Milan. We need to bring players in from smaller clubs that will grow. Players with god potential. Either that or we need to invest more on our Youth Academy. If Ivanovic came he would rot on the bench. I don't think he was even good enough for our bench. Favalli has more than proven his worth with us this year. When Bonera and Nesta get healthy we will have to many defenders as is. Darmian wont get 10 minutes on the field.

Disclaimer: (That was directed towards no one just my opinion)
Edit: It is a good deal for La Viola. He is good enough to come off of thier bench or possibly start. They get a decent Defenderfor THEM and he gets some time.

terry/carvalho is one of the best CB pairings in the world. it would take a lot to to displace one of the latter two, and from what i hear he and alex both got some play just not enough.

all i know is ivanovic would be an upgrade from what we have now and has potential.

Chelsea have Carvalho, Terry and Alex. it's normal he was a bench warmer over there. I'm not sure he would have rotted on Milan's bench considering how poor our defense has been this season. I'm not saying he's world class or anything. I haven't even watched more than a handful of his games. but I doubt he's as mistake and injury prone as some our defenders.

Ivanovic is nothing. Just nothing. If you wanna buy a good defender for Milan, for god sake, don't buy him from the EPL!!

Who do you suggest, Fillipo? in other words, who do you think will fill the bill and also is a realistic target [not Chiellini, Carvalho, Ramos, etc.]?

It is hard to say. Best short-fix defender could be Panucci. Push aside the story at Roma; he is good on that we can agree, and also avaible. Other players I see do well are Gamberini (Fiorentina), Clerc (Lyon) and Criscito (Genoa) but both are no extra class.

Long term targets should be Mexes and Lucio, realistically.

Where we're buying them from isn't the problem, it's who were buying. Vidic/Ferdinand is by far the best CB partnership in the World, in my opinion, no other CB partnership is even in the same league as them. Stam hardly turned out to be a poor signing either. Break the bank for Vidic!
