@ Max, I do agree with you when you say that Gila doesn't have the mantality to play for a club as big as Milan. But I don't think the term whined like a 2 year old is really what he did during his last 2 seasons.

He never really complained when he was being benched (with good reason from Carlo) the only time he ever really complained (if you want to call it that) is when we played 4-3-1-2 and he and Pippo were played together upfront with Gila being asked to perform the role of a supporting forward.

He was a complainer on the pitch. That's pretty much ALL he did. He took the pitch with that mentality of "I'm a poor victim, please everybody, help me score, you too ref, or I'm going to cry like a baby. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) "

His characteristics remind me of Ross from Friends.

I don't have any idea about R80!

Now he takes our free kicks or Pirlo will be the first choice?

Both, please. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) And it finally pleases me to say that we have choices in set pieces. Plus, Seedorf too. Spot kicks and dead ball situations are pretty much sealed now.

Pirlo hasn't taken a decent free kick in ages... I think he didn't even score a free kick the whole of last season. So... Ronaldinho for me.

He did score. More than one, maybe. I do recall one 40 yard volley (in the league or the CL) that beat the keeper and slammed in the back of the net. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) But all said and done, Pirlo can use a rest until he gets his mojo back. He even missed sitter penalties, and there came a point, I trusted Seedorf more for free kicks (Seedorf did score a few) than Andrea.

That's why they say you can't go wrong with a player like Ronaldinho; he's so diverse and three dimensional, can take up a dozen roles on the field.

He scored against Inter last December. Don't you remember that one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

No. Last season was one to forget. All I remember from last season is Pato, and Kaka's bits and pieces of out of this world brilliance.

Yeah, that makes it two. Human beings are forgetful little creatures. Hehe. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) But Killer is right, we could use up options when it comes to dead balls, and Ronaldinho is a great option.

There're other guys on the team who are good at dead balls. For example, when he was at Lazio, Oddo was the dead ball specialist -- and pretty good at it too. It's good that Pirlo has competition, though, in the form of Ronaldinho.

Yeah, Oddo is a very, very decent penalty kick taker. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Got shot power and placement. But I'd somehow not trust him with curling and swinging, long range, over-the-air free kicks. Maybe it's because I haven't seen him take one, seems like Roberto Carlos of a kick taker.

But still, when it comes to creative free kicks, it's an alternate of Pirlo or Ronaldinho for me. Or Seedorf when he's in the mood. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Well I was more pointing out to off the pitch complaining ie. talking to the media, which he never did. I do agree that his whining on the pitch got annoying at times, but he's nothing compared to Pippo on that front. However Gila was not always like that though, it only started happening last season, and not only that, I was watching all the goals Milan scored from 03/04 to present on Milan Channel and even his body language changed towards the end. His first season when a ball came in the air he actually attacked it, during last season he still jumped for the ball but he didn't even bother with attacking it, even some of his movement that he showed during his first season he never showed it again, you could even see him running with the ball from the middle of the pitch where as in his last season all he did was stand and wait for the ball to get to him.

I think there's a whole bunch of reasons regarding Gila not working out for us, and I don't think that him being not good enough factors into it

They'll take their chances, Pirlo hasn't been that great from them last season although when he did score a free-kick it was always a memorable one (Inter)

At least now we have options from free-kicks, Pirlo, Seedorf and Dinho are all great at them plus I've seen Pato take a couple of good ones on youtube (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

He scored against Inter, Benfica in the CL, the winning goal against Cagliari and there was another one that I'm forgetting who it was against atm

Ross is whiney, Rachel always cries. so Gila is a combination of both actually (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
