Good!

It's that time of the year, let's hope all our key players will renew their contract soon.

I can see the word "surgery" there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

He was examined in Belgium by Dr. Martens. It's a complex type of injury. He'll do therapy for a couple of weeks before returning to Belgium for surgery.

You saw Favalli hobbling around briefly after their knees connected, but Abi definitely got the worst of it as he was moving at a faster speed than Favalli when they clashed.

Not-so-breaking news from Ch. 4 confirms what everyone already knew.

QUOTE (Channel 4)
Season over for Abbiati
Monday 16 March, 2009
It has been confirmed that Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati will need surgery on his knee and will be out for the rest of the season.

The former Torino custodian had to be stretchered off in agony after 13 minutes of Milan's demolition of Siena.

Abbiati accidentally collided with teammate Giuseppe Favalli and ruptured ligaments in his right knee.

“Milan would like to communicate that Abbiati saw Professor Marco Martens in Antwerp.

“The tests undertaken have revealed the extent of his injury and he will now need two or three weeks of rehabilitation before returning to Belgium for surgery.”

Abbiati is expected to return to action at the start of next season, leaving Nelson Dida to take over the gloves during the current campaign.

I'm glad that Dida will be playing again, but definitely not at the expense of someone's knee being shredded. Anterior cruciate ligament injuries are the worst.

Did not mean it that way. I was just thinking that despite the serious injury Abbiati suffered there is a bright light for Dida fans, especially for the unquestionable MizNelson!

I don't know if that sounds weird again I mean it in a good way.
