QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 9 2009, 01:21 PM) I think it shows your spoilt. Players can cry over a result, that's fine, since they're the ones putting the work in to acheive.. but a fan? It's like, you've just made an FA Cup SF and you're crying because you lost? Be greatful you've even got to such a place and been to Wembley, fans of most teams nevet get that chace. That is how you're being spoilt. Look at fans of West Brom, Cardiff or Millwall in recent years, all teams that made FA Cup SFs/Finals and they didn't cry when they lost, they were proud of their team. Then again, it's ecoming tough to call Arsenal fans spoled of late.
And I agree with your last point.
I'd hope so, or he was one very sad person! Oops. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I know I was grateful for what my team had achieved whenever I've cried.

Barca-ManUtd. hmh. First time a team makes 2 straight finals. Impressive Ferguson stuff indeed. Naturally, I hope Barca lifts the trophy!

No, I meant new format, and CL winners. In the new format, every CL winner was eliminated in 1/8 or 1/4 finals.

QUOTE (Locke Lamora @ May 11 2009, 08:35 PM) Milan, Valencia and Juve have all made it to 2 finals in a row, unless I'm very much mistaken... Although United will be the first to win it twice.

If they pull if off it's going to be the most amazing achievement I've watched in football.
They are a team built on debt but still... winning the CL twice in a row while also grabbing the championship in today's football seems impossible. And the silly CWC makes it all the more difficult because it forces the team to play a very compact schedule. Just check the 3 previous CL winners, 'fool, Barcelona and Milan were all eliminated in the round of 16 the year after they won the CL!
Sacchi is the last coach to win back-to-back European Cups but he did not win the championship in those two seasons.
Even if they lose, it would not change much in my mind I still consider it an unbelievable accomplishment.
