There are reports that Chelsea are lining up a sensational bumper bid for Milan’s Brazilian ace Kaka.

The 25-year-old midfield wizard has heightened speculation over his future by admitting in recent weeks that he would like to play in Spain or England at some stage.

While the ex-Sao Paulo man insists that he is happy at the San Siro at present, The Daily Express claims that new Chelsea boss Avram Grant is desperate to lure him.

The Diavolo have rebuffed numerous approaches from Real Madrid for the Ballon d’Or award favourite, but The Daily Express claims a bid of £100m is a possibility.

“Kaka is certainly a long-term target and if there is any chance of getting him then Grant will try and make it happen,” an inside source reportedly stated.

“Avram likes Kaka very much and has told Abramovich that he is a good investment, even at £100m.

“Of course all the wealthiest clubs in the world want Kaka, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, but only Chelsea can really afford him.”

While there is no way to verify the veracity of The Daily Express’ claims, it is unlikely that Milan could refuse a bid of £100m even for a player of Kaka’s importance.

But why ? They will buy some players with that money , but kaka is perfect for Milan. Why taking the risk on some players who might flop .

I don't think so. Unless Kaka wants to go himself.

No. I believe Chelsea and maybe even Madrid have made offers close to or as big as that anyway...

Not now and not before a new Milan idol is found... maybe when he's 29 and Pato (or whoever) is the new star... but I don't see it happening now!

No reason for that transfer. Kaka does not need Chelsea, just like Milan does not need Abramovich's money. End of story... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Exactly what I was thinking. Milan won't let Kaka go unless they find their new star. Just like when they let Sheva go because they already had their new star in Kaka.

Personally I prefer Madrid over Chelsea. at least they have class and history and are as prestigious as we are. but what do Chelsea have? money? fvck that! Madrid can beat any team when it comes to money and Kaka has been their favorite player for the past two or three years. if Kaka was to leave Milan, Madrid would definitely be his destination.
